Split the difference: I’m calling one good, one meh, and two disasters. Which will be which I don’t know. I bet the horned helmet will be cool though.

They said there will be one traditional jersey, so it might not be all bad.

Eh, the jerseys they’re leaving behind are traditional, but when they wear white socks with (especially) their blue jersey, it still makes me grit my teeth.

Titans former set was great when it only had the white pants

Navy blue pants were part of the original set

Yeah I know they were a thing, but they never looked good. The powder pants worked a lot better with the road set, and I think they wore all white occasionally (it might’ve only been early on) and it looked a lot better.

I like the idea of all of the jerseys being different and they said there's something for everyone.  Could be a disaster, could be good.

It doesn't work. Just look to Washington for proof. Even with one passable jersey, it's still bad because none of it matches. Trying to please everyone leaves nobody happy.

Are the Jets going to make the Sack Exchange logo their primary logo?

🤔

I don't think I've seen this discussed anywhere.

I'm not sure but what I will say is the Jets did have a different version of that logo in the end zone, it stood out to me at the time because I have never seen that font without the plane. I'm suggesting that maybe there is a tweak of the logo coming that looks like the endzone design here, maybe they put it in the football shape too.

It takes years for this process to be completed. We’ve known for years about the Texans, Broncos, and Lions new uniforms coming in 2024

I’m more skeptical on the  Seahawks and Titans rumors this late in the process coming from out of nowhere recently. I’m thinking we see new alternate uniforms and helmets for the Seahawks and Titans, not wholesale changes.

Seahawks Prediction: A silver alternate helmet with the current logo (via logo swap with throwback helmet) as a nod to the past that could be paired with Wolf Gray pants and jerseys. Mono-Wolf Gray anyone?

Titans Prediction: Id guess a white alternate helmet with the T-Sword Ball & Stars alternate logo that can be paired with the Columbia blue alternate jersey for an Oilers-esqe look (as the Texans adopt H-Town blue lol)

It feels way too late in the wheel of change for the Seahawks to be getting new uniforms.

And IIRC, they had to retire the Wolf Greys for the throwbacks

If this is true, the NFL teams that have quickly moved on from a Nike-lead redesign are:

  • Buccaneers
  • Jaguars
  • Browns
  • Lions
  • Jets (rumored)
  • Titans (rumored, badly needed)

And my guess is the Falcons explore this for next offseason, while the Commanders under new ownership without question probably will).

If you're Nike, how are you not seen as an objective failure at this point? Everything you're cooking in the kitchen is getting sent back.

The fact that Nike keeps making jerseys just good enough for people to buy but continuously bad enough that people will demand a new set and then buy another one is why they're successful. I'm 100% sure what they do drives up jersey sales, which is everyone's definition of success here except for us.

Very classic. The thing that bothered me was the outdated stripes on the helmet. I grew very annoyed of it and wish they followed the stripes they had on their white pants and place upon the helmet. They were trying to copy the Ravens and Panthers which was to me a dumb move. I can see why the Jaguars and Texans stood back from that.

I get why they did what they did: a traditional 3-stripe decal would cause them to either shrink or alter the helmet logo, as the flames would run into the stripe.  The current reverse tapered stripe is the way it is for the same reason, they just found a storytelling way to explain it (sword or spear).

Reducing the logo to fit a standard stripe might cause the logo to look cartoonishly small.

So, there are three solutions:

- keep logo, no stripe

- keep logo, add thin 1-color stripe

- change logo, add standard 3-color stripe

Their logo is good, but I’d drop or modify the flames to allow for a 3-stripe so that you could bring back the original pants.

Since you said that, I rather keep the logo and lose the stripes. They are not necessary at all. I rather they do that. To me, if Tennessee ever had white helmet alts, I would ditch the stupid grey color addition or just modify the Titans classic uniforms into what I have seem other content creators and artist done before.

The Seahawks scrapped their Grey jersey and the Titans scrapped their Columbia Blue jersey when they introduced their Throwbacks, so both of those predictions can't happen.

The Titans might. They still have a slot open since they only have 3 jerseys: white, navy, and throwback. I wouldn't do that since the Columbia blue jersey has navy numbers, but it could be modified to have white numbers.

The Titans could very well fall in line with the current trend of having home and away throwbacks jerseys

That's a good possibility too. This is such an odd trend to me. It's not a bad idea, but it says a lot about current uniforms.
