TruColor
Todd told me that I'd like the numbers (font). Can't wait for tomorrow, but I'm having a little minor procedure at 1:00 (MST). An endoscopy (I've had one before)...and I miss all the fun.I'll be out of it most of the afternoon...
NickSixers
Damn. I thought that i had an exclusive here. Just got back from Union Station tonight. I was there around 10 coming back from home for the week, and i was looking for the stage for the announcement. Don't you know, I find the stage, and they're raising the logo like practicing for tomorrow. Here are some pour quality phonecam pics. Confirms CC97's post. (Like it needed confirmation. Haha.) I guess this is the primary. I was kind of hoping it was the secondary. I guess they will just have a W on the caps. I really hope that they have the caps for sale tomorrow at the Lids at Union Station. I could pick one up on tuesday when i go back home for the holiday. Probably wishful thinking. i'm thinking more toward Christmas for the hats and merchandise.
griffelh
Wow he's got some memorable logos under his belt. Good job. Then again, he actually admits that he designs the godawful Brewers logo from the mid 90s!
NatsFan2004
Nice effort, NickSixers...It's a really cool photo to see, even though the logo got leaked early. Thanks!Incidentally, has anyone noticed how the shape of the top of the ribbon mimics the distinctive shape of RFK's roof? Seems like that's hardly coincidental to me... TruColor
Uh...if at all possible, let's all try to keep Todd's name from getting out from this forum until after noon (EST) tomorrow. Apparently, it's still kind of a secret...And NickSixers - fantastic job with the pic.

CC97
Isn't it perfect that the Expos had an affiliate known as the Sand Gnats last season -- here's hoping they transfer over to Washington in 2005. --- Chris Creamer Founder/Editor, SportsLogos.Net  "The Mothership" • News • Facebook • X/Twitter • Instagram
winghaz
I like the name Nationals for Washington and I like the red, white and blue colors. But I wish the Nationals and other major league teams would get rid of logos that just have a baseball and lettering. That said, my favorite logo in all of baseball is the Detroit Tigers' logo. I love the mean-looking tiger walking through an Olde English "D."
See Red
Wow -- I really do like that a lot. If you read this at all, Todd, great job. Better than I was expecting.I'm interested in seeing what the hat logo will be and how the jerseys would look. Thank you for the picture, NickSixers. DEAD!
Great find NickSixers. I like the logo. He only problem I have with it is the ribbon. There's something about the way it is done that I don't like. I saw, I came, I left.

hrivnak
Hope the unis are cool, cause this logo is yawn inducing. It's not bad, it's just plain as hell... Â Â
NatsFan2004
The Sand Gnats are our low-A (Sally League) affiliate. Harrisburg is AA.
clannhoran
I actually like this logo a great deal. Very classic feel to it, and if any team can make red, white and blue work it should be a team from D.C. named the Nationals.

philly97flyer
I was messin around with some more URL's on MLB Shop and I found a whole bunch of new stuff, including a bigger version of the logo. I also noticed on the navy t-shirt, you can kind of see the alternate DC logo on the background.http://shop.mlb.com/shop/index.jsp?categor...5815&cp=1452340
totc
Looks like the cap is a direct knockoff of the Senators (like the Mets and the NY Giants).I'd rather have seen something on the order of the Bowie Nationals (three stripes making a wavy N and a white star in the midst).
