MLB Cap: The Expos' pinwheels with the red, white and blue panels. The '80s Orioles with the cartoon bird and the white front panels is a close second.

MLB Jersey: The Blue Jays' 2nd uniforms (original logo shifted to the left lower torso to make room for buttons). The '70s Astros with the rainbow bellies are a verrrrrrrrrrrrrry close second.

NFL Helmet: The old Tampa Bay "Bucco Bruce" helmets. Orange bliss.

NFL Jersey: The Bengals jerseys that they just tossed in favor of the regression they're wearing now. Man, those are sweet, and I wish I hadn't outgrown my old Boomer Esiason #7.

NHL Jersey: The old garish looking Washington Capitals jerseys with the hundreds of stars at the waist and down the sleeves. Only a team in D.C. could pull that off. The blue Quebec Nordiques jerseys are a quarter-step behind, although I also like the suggestions of the old North Stars and the old Sabres, two of my all-time faves.

NBA Jersey: The Jack Sikma/Gus Johnson era Sonics jerseys, where the white arc was on the front and the back of the jerseys. The Sonics did a nice job with their update that they wear now, but those uniforms - and the logo with the Seattle skyline in front of the yellow ball that looks like a sunrise - were better than the set that pays homage to them.

"Start spreading the news... They're leavin' today... Won't get to be a part of it... In old New York..."

In order for the Mets' run of 12 losses in 17 games to mean something, the Phillies still had to win 13 of 17.

Oh yeah, teal baby.

Weirdest thing is that I found one of those (the 94 version, which has a white outline around the wordmark as seen here) in Dixon, Ill. a year after they decided to discontinue them.

Hell yeah I bought it.

I WANT ONE!!!

On a WLAF note, I also liked the knights with their gold/silver/black thing between the helmet/jersey, but it was not used often enough.....

I have no idea what you're talking about here.

The Magic blue with black pinstripes were awesome!

So awesome, in fact, that the pinstripes were actually white!

Original TB Lightning jerseys with the "paint brush" numbers....

The paintbrush numbers were not on the "original" Lightning jerseys. The first year or two, the Lightning had the wacky shadowed/italicized/futuristic numbers.

I like these in retrospect

I think those Jets unis are 80 billion times better than the ones they have now. Especially when they metalicized the helmet circa 1995. Too bad the Jets lost so many games in those.
