Max Power
My Big Ten rankings (I'm using the logos onthis page:1. Penn State (unique)2. Purdue (although I liked the old train better)3. Iowa (another unique look)4. Northwestern (the cat head coming out of the N is sweet. purple is different, but how many team in one conference can wear some type of red?)5. Indiana (love that they dropped the drop shadow and tweaked the crimson. very classy look. plus, I'm an alum so I rate it a bit higher.)6. Michigan (Block M, but it works for them.)7. Minnesota (Block M. At least they made it different looking than Michigan's.)8. Ohio State (Same idea as the Illinois logo, but works better.)9. Illinois (block I. nothing great about it. Chief head would rate much higher.)10. Wisconsin (motion W. I use to like it a lot more. Now I prefer their more classic W.)11. Michigan State (green S, nothing special. The spartan head would rate higher.)
OleSmokey
SEC - Best is Tennessee - the block "T" is classic and magical on the side of the helmets. Smokey rocks as well!MAC - Best is Akron - The "Fear the Roo" marketing campaign this year is outstanding. Zippy and Smokey are Numbers 1 and 1A when it comes to mascots! doafhat
My Big 12 rankings1. Texas: The Longhorn is one of the most recognizable logos in sports and is so identifiable with Texas2. Colorado: Good work by CU in updating the Buffalo logo, rock-solid identity for the Buffs3. Iowa State: Excellent job by ISU in creating a classic modern look and managing to meld Cy & a tornado without looking silly4. Oklahoma State: Pistol Pete and his backstory are pretty intimidating, and the updated cattle brand is unique to the Pokes5. Kansas: The Jayhawk will always be classy and looks even better with the new KU mark6. Missouri: The Tiger logo is pretty nice, but Mizzou needs to decide on which shade of gold to go with (I prefer the yellow-gold)7. Texas Tech: Solid update of the TT logo, but they should consider using the Masked Rider logo more8. Texas A&M: The aTm logo works for football, but I definitely prefer the T-star logo9. Kansas State: The Powercat logo is better than what KSU had, but that's not saying a lot. Wildcats also need to find a good wordmark.10. Baylor: New wordmark is really nice, but the BU and Bear logos are a little generic11. Oklahoma: The 'OU' logo is pretty plain, too bad the Sooner Schooner logo has been all-but forgotten in favor of 'the paperclip'12. Nebraska: A plain block-N logo is fairly lame on its own, but NU has two different block-N's. It's time for the Huskers to decide on a look and stick with it. Natsfan36
12. Nebraska: A plain block-N logo is fairly lame on its own, but NU has two different block-N's. It's time for the Huskers to decide on a look and stick with it. well, techinacally, they have three....they have one for academic, one for athletic, and one for band i think......plus if you change their look, do you know how many fans you become ticked off at you????? I just wanna do hoodrat things with my friends.

The block-N used for most of the Cornhuskers' logos is different when compared to the block-N used in wrestling and on the football helmets & the "Nebraska Football - A Winning Tradition" patches. Originally I thought there were only 2 different block-N's used by Nebraska, but then I remembered that their wrestling program uses a different variation on their singlets. And no, I'm not saying Huskers should change their look; just decide on which flavor of a plain red block-N they would like to stick with. harperdc
Oregon State's new logo is garbage. it looks a lot more generic and just flat-out isn't aesthetically pleasing. my parents and a lot of my family are Oregon Staters, and my parents have a strong preference for the older Benny Beaver logo they used up until the mid-90s. To which new Oregon State logo are you referring? You are correct calling this trashBut this new Benny BeaverIs much better than the original yikes, that bottom one is a seriously old-school Benny Beaver. I can at least stand the current Oregon State football and basketball stuff, but anything UW is disgusting.same with Arizona State, the devil logo is just as bad as the UCLA bear IMO.
