Partycrasher
I'm sure this has been mentioned but it's especially weird remembering Nolan Ryan began his career as a Met considering he was a part of the '69 team. also, look at this picture of him, he is a child.

This is why it's so great to see Ryan's latter-day appearances in a Met uniform. Here he is with other members of the 1969 Mets (coach Yogi Berra, Jerry Grote, Tom Seaver, Jerry Koosman, Duffy Dyer) in 2009. And here he is in a lovely posed shot with Seaver, from probably around the same time. Anyway, back to the topic. There is a subset of players who appear in a uniform that is wrong for them when they later work as coaches or managers. The jarring effect is especially acute for a player who played for only one team during his playing career.

He’s 1-1 in SBs for Seattle. Had he won both, then yeah sure Seattle is his right uniform. Sure, he took Seattle to the playoffs nearly every year, but he still has some time left to do something with Denver. If he’s still at Mile High in 5 years, but hasn’t done anything outside of multiple 9-8 seasons, then the conversation of “wrong” uniform is justified. Right now, a day into his Broncos tenure is too early to say “wrong” uniform.
nash61
Okay, on that topic, is Peyton's right uniform Indianapolis, or Denver? Santa gave them special sand-skates that allowed them to play in shorts and t-shirts in 115 degree weather. Jesus, Zeus and Buddha watched from the sidelines and ate cotton candy. Super Bowls and MVPs not taken into account, he had 18 retired by both teams. If your number is retired by that ream that's the right uniform.
