The Marlins personally hate the Mets for some reason.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that they're, oh I dunno, their opponents.

Let's not forget they're divisional rivals and all that jazz.

But nah. The whole damn NL just has it out for the Mets. We'll just leave it at that.

Yeah I have to agree. I'll even go so far as to say that the Marlins were probably even trying to INTENTIONALLY score more runs than the Mets.

Those heartless bitches.

I know right? They know damn well that this game is called "Mets Win." We played "Mets Choke," last year, it's time for a new game.

I think that the players should go on strike for the Marlins being so blatant in trying to win. I would definitely think that the head of the MLMWPA would at least look into it.

I really believe that what Reyes did in the last Saturday game last season, which lead to the brawl, really irritated the Marlins. They were ready, bags packed, set to go home for the winter. Then he decides to show them up when ahead by about 10 runs. That fired them up, and they came out guns a blazin the following day with a 7 run first inning and that was it. I think alot of that hostility has carried over to this year. Not just saying this because Im a Phillies fan, but the Mets are a very unlikeable bunch with the antics that go on with that team.

Wasn't that Lastings Millege who is now with Washington.

Boston is down 16-5 in the 8th so it looks like the Rays will clinch the AL East. Which means Rays will open up their first postseason at home (Though it isn't the first postseason game in that ballparks home as the Lightning still played their when they first made the playoffs in '96 and played the Flyers).

Yeah, the rain kind of screwed the Red Sox tonight since after the delay, Francona opted not to pitch Dice-K and went with David Pauley instead, but it's really not such a big deal -- I'd rather not have to question whether or not they should be resting guys while they still have a shot at the division.

Congratulations to the Rays and their actual fans (not the bandwagoners) on winning the AL East. It was a great run, and it was a lot of fun to be in Florida for most of it.

Are you :censored: ing serious? Were you really expecting the Marlins to lay down for the Mets this weekend??

Leave. Now!

No there is deep bad blood between the Mets and Marlins

There was a bench clearing incident in the next to last game last year, and there was almost one last month. They were mentioning it on SNY, several players on the Marlins hate Jose Reyes, and no I did not think the Marlins would lay down, the Marlins never lay down for the Mets they alwasy put up a big fight and they have Mike Pelfrey's number. I think since May Pelfrey had a great record but was 0-4 against the Marlins, and had just one 1-0 loss against everyone else.

Congrats to the Rays. WOW. I seriously can't believe that they did it. Especially since they were counted out at every possible chance.

Good to see someone other than the YANKS OR SAWX win the East. :P

The Rays had no fans before this so they're all bandwagon fans. And you can count me among them for the playoffs. :D
