philly97flyer
I really believe that what Reyes did in the last Saturday game last season, which lead to the brawl, really irritated the Marlins. They were ready, bags packed, set to go home for the winter. Then he decides to show them up when ahead by about 10 runs. That fired them up, and they came out guns a blazin the following day with a 7 run first inning and that was it. I think alot of that hostility has carried over to this year. Not just saying this because Im a Phillies fan, but the Mets are a very unlikeable bunch with the antics that go on with that team.

Boston is down 16-5 in the 8th so it looks like the Rays will clinch the AL East. Which means Rays will open up their first postseason at home (Though it isn't the first postseason game in that ballparks home as the Lightning still played their when they first made the playoffs in '96 and played the Flyers). It was a great run, and it was a lot of fun to be in Florida for most of it.
NJTank
The Marlins personally hate the Mets for some reason. Are you ing serious? Were you really expecting the Marlins to lay down for the Mets this weekend?? Leave. Now!No there is deep bad blood between the Mets and MarlinsThere was a bench clearing incident in the next to last game last year, and there was almost one last month. They were mentioning it on SNY, several players on the Marlins hate Jose Reyes, and no I did not think the Marlins would lay down, the Marlins never lay down for the Mets they alwasy put up a big fight and they have Mike Pelfrey's number. I think since May Pelfrey had a great record but was 0-4 against the Marlins, and had just one 1-0 loss against everyone else. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com
