Corvus
League to investigate Maple Leafs for tampering. As Brian Burke said today, they must have done a piss-poor job of tampering because the Sedins are still in Vancouver.Of course, the mere mention of one his players by another GM had Burke screaming for an investigation a couple of years ago. But hypocrisy goes hand in hand with his arrogance.
oddball
It looks like the Blackhawks will resign Versteeg for three years. http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/chi090708.html
Linus
I think the Hawks really screwed themselves over by signing Hossa to this big 12 year deal. What are they going to do next year when the cap goes down and Kane and Toews are RFA's? Theyll both most likely get offer sheets thrown at them. beLEAF

Radulov all over again (not in terms of star status) may be Joel Kwiatkowski. He had already signed a 2 year deal with SKA St Petersburg. Sorry, I'm just trying to comprehend the NHL-KHL's "gentleman agreement" So an NHL RFA can negotiate and sign a contract with a KHL club without any ramifications?Edit: Found this about the Kwiatkowski situation. Geoff
Reneged? The KHL never signed the agreement either. They're just using it when it happens to them. They had no problem with it in the Radulov situation. Athletic Director: KTU Blue Grassers Football

Lee.
This should be fun:The Sharks have 16 players under contract for this season, and around 1.6M left in cap space. The Blackhawks are sitting at 59M with the recent signings.I'm thinking some fire sales are in order.
