Also, if you're going to bust out Roussel (1989-ish?) that would mean that you have to include such legends as Tim Cheveldae, Stephan Beauregard, Tommy Soderstrom, Pete Peeters, Ken Wregget (who was actually pretty solid), and a few others that I don't feel are even worth me typing out.

Hey now, Stephane Beauregard won us a Cup. Granted, it was the Turner Cup, but still...

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

He was Hextall's backup on the 95 team that lost to the Devils

My gosh, you're right. My memory sucks... I thought he was long gone by then.

Toskala isnt as bad as everyone thinks. He played pretty good down the stretch last season and if his injury was bothering him throughout the year, than that can explain why he was so bad early on in the season.

I think Toskala will bounce back this year. I hope he does, but if he doesnt, we have the Monster waiting to jump in there.

Easily one of my top three favorite players ever. Even though the Avalanche are technically a Sharks rival, I've never felt anything but good things for them. I for one, am gonna miss the hell outta Joe Sakic.

Sakic is an incredibly classy guy that the game will miss dearly. First ballot Hall-of-Famer without a doubt.

Couldn't agree more. One of my all-time favorites. One of the few to play their entire career with the same franchise (two different cities though)

So with Sakic retiring, who takes his spot at the Team Canada summer camp? If its not Marc Savard than I have no idea.

As for Sakic retiring, great guy, great career. My favourite hockey memory is Joe Sakic going in on Mike Richter in the 2002 Olympic Gold Medal game and scoring the goal that sealed the deal. I remember the announcer.."Jooooooooe Sakic scores for Canada!"

He'll probably be a coach or GM one day.

I'd love for Spezza to squeeze in but it's a tough competition.

Though I do think Spezza is ready to explode as a bonafide star.

Hi, how are you?

The Bolts have signed Stephane Veilleux. I'm not sure how to feel about this one considering his horrible +/- numbers on a defensive team like the Wild.
