Those notes make me want to learn the Chinese, Spanish, Portugese, Afrikaner, Korean, Norwegian, and Polish words for "hideous."

And bingo to whoever said we should take the old notes out of circulation.

As for this :censored: about the Metric System, we do use it. We use it in math, science, engineering, and international commerce. Who cares if road signage lists distance and speed limit in miles? It is in England, too. Who cares if weigh ourselves in pounds? The Brits use stones. As long as we're capable of using the SI when we must, what does it matter that we use Customary measures in our daily lives.

This is all superfluous.

Use the Japanese model of having a special sym chip in my cell phone where I can e-pay anyone for anything, and get rid of all this garbage.

Death to cash!

So, what would you pay a stripper or hooker with then?

That's easy.

Just swipe a debit/credit card between her cheeks.

This is our money.

You don't need to take it out to check what denomination it is, the lobster red is a $20, the Colonel Mustard is a $50.

And if you fold the $5 just right it looks like a naughty picture.

It's polymer, so it's virtually impossible to rip with your bare hands.

(You'd need bear hands)

New Zealand also does this (polymer and all), however, different colors for the denominations:

$5 - Orange

$10 - Blue

$20 - Green

$50 - Purple

$100 - Red

Like the Aussie stuff. I'd take that over here. The one thing I noticed, though, is that a lot of the designs on that website involve stuff that has little to do with America. Now I know some of that is intentional and wasn't designed as something legitimate. But some of the other stuff? Just random art thrown onto the dollar, and IMO, that's not acceptable. As for who I'd want on the dollar, I wouldn't change much. The only changes I'd make would be;

- Different portrait of Washington for the one.

- Replace Andrew Jackson's Indian-genociding ass with Theodore Roosevelt

- Replace Ulysses S. Grant's corrupt ass with Dwight D. Eisenhower

We should do what the British do; every time there's a re-design they have a grace period and then withdraw the old bills from circulation.

Old bills can later be redeemed for new ones at banks.

Makes much more sense than keeping bills in circulation forever, which as noted opens a large counterfeiting loophole.

Just so long as we don't replace Alexander Hamilton with Reagan.

Sorry, go to do it...

Would you put Harrison on the $30? :P

Technically he spent 32 days in office. :P. But yeah, $30 would probably be the best idea because when one thinks of a month he or she usually thinks of 30 days. A $30 bill with his portrait on it would make for a funny gag note.

I wouldn't mind color of money.

Give us white $1s, pink $5s, yellow $10s, green $20s, blue $50s, tan $100s, and orange $500s...

Or give us white $1s, pink $5s, blue $10s, green $20s, purple $50s, tan $100s, and orange $500s.

Nah, do it like most casinos:

White 1s, red 5s, blue 10s, green 25s, orange 50s, black 100s, purple 500s, etc.

The above attachment featuring Mexican pesos is outdated. There is no longer a 10 peso denomination. The current version is referred to as Series-F and some bills feature cut-outs with thin, clear polymer insets.

Monopoly! ^_^

I think the Canadians have the right idea. Get rid of paper dollars and introduce the Two-nie, and color code the rest.
