There's something disturbing about that logo, but I can't descirbe it.

Perhaps it's the knot at the bottom of the stalk, which appears right in the crotch area. Regardless, Mr. Celery FTW.

For all the bird de lis haters I think the bird de lis isnt supposed to be a pelican and a fleur de lis I think its just a fleur de lis with a pelicans head. Thats what it looks like to me. Also the flair around the tip of the beak is just flair that fleur de lis have sometimes source I am from NOLA.

Brooklyn Cyclones 10th Season Logo:

Interesting that they used the Brooklyn script, even though they stopped using it on their road jerseys a few seasons back.

Here are some of the rejected logos, from the Brooklyn Baseball Blog:

Hate it. Way, way too busy.

The Cyclones have one of the best primary logos in the minors, and this doesn't incorporate or even reference anything about it.

I think they were on the right track with those pennant logos.

We're seeing a pretty good crop of new designs in the minors. Should be a good season.

Since the mid-2000s, there's been a sequence of outstanding MiLB logo and jersey designs. Easily half or more of the ten best pro baseball unis are in the minors now. I've been hoping that the quality design work at that level would eventually filter upwards, but MLB logo and uni redesigns are almost uniformly worse in the last five years. Even the successes (such as the excellent new Twins logo) are accompanied by glaring failures of uni design (such as the Natseriffic ruination that is the new Twins road uni). I've been less happy with MiLB uni redesigns in the last two seasons, but impressed with many of the new caps teams have designed. Recent experience makes me doubt that this will lead to any quality cap innovations in the bigs. Alas.
