GuitarPunk2512 Posted November 12, 2011 Share Posted November 12, 2011 want to know something funny...just checked the miami marlins facebook page and thier website message board, 99.9% of the people ABSOLUTLEY HATE the new marlins, they hate everything about the new marlins. the only thing they're happy about is not playing in a football stadium but they're not happy with the new stadium, not happy with the team, and they hate with a passion the new redesign and jeff loria. way to go loria, you just pissed off a fan base you been alienating for years so bad they're all talking about jumping ship. they finally get a stadium they can watch the team play in for once instead of metling away in the pouring florida rains, and you go and destroy the team they knew. class act owner right there, completely ignored the fan base all together. teal was selling, people wanted teal back and instead they produce this crap. they pulled an islanders.. fans:"no black" - owners:"heres your third jersyes.. a :censored:ty looking black jersey, FU fans" Mets, Jets, Islanders Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

My first thought was "Those folks must have all jumped in to complain" My thoughts are that the "M" on the cap is HUGE. I couldn't help but notice it when the players were walking down the aisle. The 2nd thing, I don't care for "MIAMI" on the home uni's all that much ... do the people in Miami need to know where their own team is from ?!?!!??!? ... 3rd, what's the primary logo? If they just take a chance and use the orange lid with every uniform set on occasion (minus the black I guess), and have a matching batting helmet, they'll look great. If they get scared, use the orange cap with only the orange alt once or twice then shelve it, it'll be a crying shame. Not seeing the orange cap at the unveil scares me a bit that they might've gotten spooked at the last minute and ditched actually wearing it on the field. It seems to have such a potential to be a bright vibrant identity, but black completely muddles the entire look, especially when its displayed so prominently as the primary cap. The wordmarks need work as has been said several times.
