2011-2012 NCAA Football Uniform Thread

Lights Out

And University of Oregon alums will defend that too :P

Excuse me, but if Jesus was outfitted in some sweet Nike kicks instead of those crappy sandals, he would have outrun those Roman bastards.

Especially if they were highlighter yellow coloured. 'Cause that increases speed....apparently.

Actually, apparently NOT. From what I saw in the championship game, highlighter yellow shoes increase slippage.

Saw this on an Oklahoma State board.

Serious question: You guys think Nike uses gray to color-coordinate with the grey gloves that NCAA players are forced to wear?

That Oklahoma State screenshot looks like it is on top of a California template. Look at the neck and the cut on the bottom of the jersey. So who knows? Could be an older uniform that never made it to the field. As far as a black helmet, it'd be fine for blackout games and it's something they've worn before so it's not too big a deal. But the greys? If they are as light as Ole Miss it'll look like they were washed in mud

No, that collar is the flywire design that Nike used for the bowl Pro Combats this year.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

No, someone already pointed out the collar, but the pants are pro combat and Cal doesn't even have those now.

It sucks that being successful makes all the crappier teams' fans so jealous.

I love what Nike has done for Oregon.

In fact, every time I say Nike I get paid. Nike also pays for everyone at the U of O to go to class. When you enroll, you have to sign a contract to never wear anything other than Nike stuff.

Wait a minute, hold up, back the truck up here a second. Are you saying that Nike pays the STUDENTS to go to the U of O? And if I was a student at Oregon and showed up to class wearing an Adidas shirt, how would I be penalized? I don't know about any of you, but if this isn't a joke, IMO this is WAY more unsettling than all of the money that goes to the athletic program.

Buc you are cool and all but, the :censored:?

Seriously?

 Well :censored: me, right?

If this thing is the official thread now,

I was talking with an SID here at ASU, and there is talk of the Sun Devils changing their helmet logo next year from Sparky to the Pitchfork. (And by talk, I mean he's at least seen a mock-up of it in the offices). He didn't say how it would be arranged, but I would suspect it pointing forward like Florida State's spear.

He also said that there would probably be a greater emphasis on the Pitchfork across all sports.

You know, I think I've seen shades of that already. I was at the Arizona/ASU gymnastics meet (I support all Arizona sports, don't look at me like that) on Friday and ASU's uniforms had a pretty prominent pitchfork logo. It'd definitely be an interesting change.

Would it still make me want to puke? Of course. But it'd definitely be a good change.

Yeah there's been signs of it here and there. Especially in the bookstore in the form of T-shirts and Hats.

I definitely wouldn't mind an emphasis of the pitchfork. It's a really nice simple logo and when used properly, it looks really good. But I really like Sparky as the primary, and the pitchfork as the secondary. And realistically, Sparky could use a slight update.

I don't like the sound of that. I love their current helmet. Easily one of my favorite helmets in college football.
