Saw this on an Oklahoma State board.

Please excuse me while I bang my head on my desk repeatedly.

I just really wonder why this whole Nike/Oregon relationship bothers Kevin so much. It's like Nike made out with his girlfriend, then Oregon porked her.

It's not all about Oregon. It's also about how Nike is :censored:ting on college football tradition. I mean, I like Oregon's uniforms to an extent, but the superfluous addition of black and "steel" ruins what would be an otherwise good-looking uniform set, and don't get me started on that Oklahoma State picture.

Mighty Ducks of Anaheim (CHL - 2018 Orr Cup Champions) Chicago Rivermen (UBA/WBL - 2014, 2015, 2017 Intercontinental Cup Champions)

King's Own Hexham FC (BIP - 2022 Saint's Cup Champions) Portland Explorers (EFL - Elite Bowl XIX Champions) Real San Diego (UPL) Red Bull Seattle (ULL - 2018, 2019, 2020 Gait Cup Champions) Vancouver Huskies (CL)

I actually really like the new template. Don't like adding the grey at all, but the jersey and pant template is pretty nice. Nike has done pretty well with some of the new pro combat templates (really like Arizona's).

I'd hate it less if they got rid of the silver crap and the black helmet.

Oklahoma State could still very well use a white helmet here and there. I mean, we all know Nike likes lots of combinations, so I would'nt rule out the use of a white helmet to widen the variety. I, at least, am hoping they keep one.

I don't mind the silver as a trim (it's actually listed as a school color from the school's site), but I'm not sure I like it as a full-on jersey or pant color. And for the love of all that's holy, I really hope they don't break out a silver helmet either.

The opinions I express are mine, and mine only. If I am to express them, it is not to say you or anyone else is wrong, and certainly not to say that I am right.

I bet that is probably the second sheet of uniform combos. They most likely have orange and white jerseys as well, and possibly white helmets. But either way it's an upgrade. and all you Nike haters: GET OVER IT!!!!!!!!! if you don't like what you see change the damn channel

You take it way too personally.

No, some people just don't like the precedent Nike is setting. They're injecting their corporate colours into teams' uniforms. It's starting to become about the manufacturer, not the team. If they were limiting this stuff to Oregon that would be one thing. Instead they've introduced a TCU uniform that's almost devoid of purple and an Oklahoma State uniform that uses Nike grey/silver as a jersey/pants colour.

It's not something I want to see spread any further, yet Nike seems willing and able to continue pushing it.

He went to Akron. This immediately means you can discount his opinion.

It sucks that being successful makes all the crappier teams' fans so jealous.

I love what Nike has done for Oregon.

In fact, every time I say Nike I get paid. Nike also pays for everyone at the U of O to go to class. When you enroll, you have to sign a contract to never wear anything other than Nike stuff.

Wait a minute, hold up, back the truck up here a second. Are you saying that Nike pays the STUDENTS to go to the U of O? And if I was a student at Oregon and showed up to class wearing an Adidas shirt, how would I be penalized? I don't know about any of you, but if this isn't a joke, IMO this is WAY more unsettling than all of the money that goes to the athletic program.

Yeah, when I went to school there they gave us 4 shirts and 2 pairs of shoes per semester. If you got good grades in classes involving Nike (i.e. "Intro to Swoosh", "Black for Black's Sake", or "Color Palette reinvention") you got bonus apparel like neon and charcoal colored hats, gloves, and sunglasses. Typically if you walked around without displaying at least 4 swooshes at a time you were subject to a minor penalty, like a fine of $100, but kids in Adidas and Under Armour clothing were placed on academic probation.

Excuse me, but if Jesus was outfitted in some sweet Nike kicks instead of those crappy sandals, he would have outrun those Roman bastards.

Especially if they were highlighter yellow coloured. 'Cause that increases speed....apparently.
