Is it possible that the mets have the black uniforms as an option and just dont wear them? I see this as a possibility.

The black jersey is "supposed" to be worn on the road and, at home but if it does make an appearance it will be brief and most likely on the road. I don't think the team would feel like hauling two pairs of uniforms helmets etc just for one game.

Mmmmhmmm. I fully expect to see the BP jerseys more than the blacks.

So then even though the black jersey is available, they probably won't wear it considering the direction they've gone with the primaries. Would make sense.

It would look good for an expansion team from 1998. Not for a team whose identity has always been spectacular expect for the "dark ages" of 1998-2011.

Of course, when I was younger, I thought the black Mets jersey was the coolest. I have a Roberto Alomar...somewhere in my closet.

I love the Mets set now, they look fantastic and really unique. I for one also liked the previous set as I thought they in the very least did black the right way, but this is definitely an upgrade.

What an amazing off season for uniform changes in baseball. By far the best off season one sport has ever had.

I have the black hat with the blue brim, which was used from 1998 until last year. I must admit, it's a nice looking hat, better than the all black hat.

I just realized that having a Mets hat would that make me a traitor to the Red Sox. I better burn that hat now!

They were okay at first but were way over used... in small doses, sure but between them and the blue alt, theres no contest. stay true to the orange and blue!
