No, that's a modern fashion cap. Not from the period, and not worn on the field.

On the Lids website it's listed in the Cooperstown section.

The logo is part of the Cooperstown Collection, but the hat was never worn (or even official). There are a lot of hats in the Cooperstown section on Lids that were never worn.

Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

I still don't think there's every been a cap with a contrasting front panel that's looked good in the history of anything ever.

I always liked the real bird too, but only on the all black cap. Because the logo is so wide, the orange bill would make the whole cap seem awkwardly wide. Aswear the compact size of the cartoon bird looks great on the orange billed caps. However just doesn't seem to work with the all blacks because it just seems to lack enough orange. It may have more orange than the real bird, but just the perception of it. Essentially, if they want black and orange caps, go cartoon. All black, real bird. White paneled caps, need not apply.
