The Kings are playing like the serious Cup contenders many were predicting them to be at the start of the season. Mystery now is where the hell that offense went during the regular season.

It was Jeff Carter. Since they acquired him, they have been doing pretty well offensively. He has helped Richards and Penner quite a bit. Plus, Dustin Brown has been hot. During the regular season, they just had a few guys slumping, they're out of those slumps now, and they are performing to their potential.

Yeah Jeff Carter is afraid if he struggles he will be traded back to Columbust.

Jeff Carter has had something to do with it, but I gotta give it to Dustin Brown. Just like what Funky Bunky said, Dustin Brown has been hot. 4 points in the last 3 games? Thats pretty good! But you gotta give credit to Jonathan Quick. His last 7 games have been excellent. He is 6-1, his GAA is 1.56, and his save percentage is .951. Those last 2 stats are the best out of any remaining goaltender in the playoffs. Everyone says it, the key to the playoffs is goaltending, and the Kings have the best goaltending as of now and will sweep the Blues to play the Yotes in the Western Conference Finals.

About Brown, he's also been on fire since the trade deadline and the rumors surrounding him about being an ineffective captain and what not really sparked his play. He got a hatty in the first game after the deadline (also Carter's first game). The team has really come alive since the deadline, no double-digit game scoring droughts of the "top" offensive players, nice passing, and less reliance on Quick's heroics.

LA's 65-minute record is 34-33-15, their goal differential was 9th in the league, and their goals against was 2nd. The Panthers' was 32-33-17, their differential ranked 20th, their scoring 27th, their goals against 12th. By rights they should've finished well behind the woeful Canadiens. They're probably the worst playoff team the league has seen since the 16-out-of-21 era. Don't apologize.

Trotz is a deformed idiot for scratching Radulov again. I get that you won a game with Radulov suspended for his Scottsdale misadventures, but don't withhold one of your precious few talented players from yourself just to prove a point. Post hoc ergo propter hoc; that Rinne stood on his head for you doesn't mean you're better off riding the hot hand of Matt Halischuk or whichever replacement-level Predator Drone you plugged in.
