FiddySicks
As much as I HATE seeing the Pats win, the thought of a rematch in the AFC Championship game in what is possibly Ray Lewis' last game vs the one team that has given him fits his whole career is pretty damn intriguing. Cujo
Well, at least the Ravens could still beat the Pats. Almost did it last year. The Ravens would've if not for Myra Kraft smearing butter on Lee Evans' hands, then blowing wind at Billy Cundiff's kick. rams80
If Houston wins this game, that means there is no more outdoor football for the 2012 season. That's a depressing thought. I remember how much I hated the 2009 playoffs, when there were only three games played in outdoor venues (NY Jets vs. Cincinnati, Baltimore vs. New England, and NY Jets vs. San Diego). This time of year, football is meant to be played in the bitter cold elements.Of course, as someone who has no love lost for the city of Boston and their teams, I'm not exactly rooting for New England here. That's annoying.Playing "in the elements" is nice and all, but there's something to playing the most important games of the year in venues where weather isn't a factor. But playing in "the elements" have produced some of the best playoff games in NFL history. Top 10 weather gamesYeah, you know what, if football was meant to be played in awful weather the season would run from November to March. And screw climatic drama. If I want that I'll go see a movie. The_Admiral
There's a time and place for weather playing a part in a football game, but not the Super Bowl. I feel this is a reasonable compromise. Dome games suck, for the most part. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
Cosmic
Am I the only one that agrees with the Broncos running it on 3rd down? You're running off a valuable 40 seconds when the Ravens have no timeouts. I'd much rather have that than the chance that you make the first or you have to punt and give the Ravens 40 more seconds. It's easy to say they should have tried to pass when the Ravens scored, but that only happened because of one of the most egregious defensive lapses in playoff history. Give them those 40 seconds and they have a much better shot of putting together a legitimate touchdown drive. And if the Broncos were going to be so upset at the Ravens kicking practice field goals during the timeout, someone should have just stood in front of them. Don't let someone do that on your home field.I agree with the 3rd down run after the 2 minute time out. I don't agree with not even trying to get in field goal range after Baltimore scored, though.Yeah, I didn't touch the very end of regulation for a reason. You have Peyton Manning, two timeouts, and a kicker with a huge leg in altitude. It was definitely worth a shot to win it in regulation. Not going for it at the end of the 4th basically means you think there's a higher chance of your opponent scoring points even though you have the ball. If that's true, why even show up to play the game?

Kramerica Industries
If any team should've gone to the Super Bowl last year, based on the CCG's, it should've been the Ravens. They were one Lee Evans dropped pass from winning, and one Billy Cundiff chip shot from at least forcing OT. The Niners weren't quite in such close position. Kramerica Industries
New England is armed enough to win even without the Gronker. That said, Baltimore's defense seems to be in a bit of a resurgence right now. Whether that continues next week will be interesting.

Kramerica Industries
Pretty much.In the AFC this year, five of the six playoff teams from 2011 returned. What a surprise that it has played out much the same, from an end-game POV.

Cujo
Over the last 12 seasons (since Super Bowl XXXVI), 11 teams will have represented the NFC in the Super Bowl. In that same time, only four teams have repped the AFC (NE, PIT, IND, OAK). Should Baltimore win next Sunday, that would make five.NFC Champions since 2001:RamsBuccaneersPanthersEaglesSeahawksBearsGiantsCardinalsSaintsPackersGiants49ers or Falcons
