BIIIIIIIGGGGGG TEEEEEENNNNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!

And Indiana has arguably the best win of the week for the entire damn conference. Good Job Good Effort!

Not to go too homer here, but I think Ohio State beating Cal on the road is a little more impressive than Indiana knocking off a MAC team at home. Especially when that MAC team is BG.

BG is apparently supposed to be a favorite to win the MAC this season. But yeah Cal is a good kill....except for the part where they dropped 34 on you.

Even though you could blame the refs, Wisconsin had the game in their hands, but left it up to chance and it screwed them over. I wasn't sure about the timeouts left, and I saw 0, it's like why would you do that? At least try to target the endzone if you were going to run a play.

I just wanna know how that kneel-down was NOT ruled a fumble? I've never seen a player just "give himself up" without actually touching the ground. Not sure what the Badgers' quarterback was thinking there. Pretty sure if you open up the NCAA rulebook, that's a fumble. Sun Devils ball. Game over, right there.

The finish:

Wait a minute, it didn't look like he touched the ground, so then you can't blame the ASU guy for diving on top of it because he thought it was a fumble. That is flat out stupidity by Wisconsin then. Personally, I hadn't seen or heard of giving yourself up without touching the ground.

Wisconsin can blame the (Big Ten) referees all they want, but 1) The Badgers need to teach their quarterbacks how to properly take a knee. Just placing the ball on the turf like a little bitch isn't how you kneel down in contact football. Inexcusable. And 2) It took the Badgers :15 whole seconds to realize the clock was still running after the kneel. Even while the refs were sorting things out, the Badgers should hae been lined up to kill the clock once the refs placed the ball. Instead, they were busy arguing with the refs over the half-assed kneel. Horrible, horrible time management.

Hey, Youngstown State was 7-4 last year.

Because words are fun, you're right -- this mutant HydroMan does seem to be being effected by the flood. The Colorado waters mixed with a combination of Diet Mountain Dew, Doritos Locos Tacos and Teriyaki beef jerky seem to have given this gentleman water-based powers.

His poor dog, on the other hand, seems to have been to lost to everyone. There's a fine line between a villain and a hero origin story. Coloradans, beware.

You're on a wavelength that isn't right for this board. I'd start a blog with you if I thought I'd stick to it.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

That was one of the best games I've ever been to, and easily the most bizarre ending I've ever seen. The whole student section was looking around at each other in utter confusion. I looked at the clock and was absolutely shocked it was still running.

ASU made quite a few mistakes and they really need to tighten it up in the next few weeks, but I'm really proud of the poise the Devils showed. The offense really needs to step it up, the receivers especially. The Wisconsin QB really bailed out Todd Graham too with that awful clock management at the end. The previous drive, ASU decided for some inexplicable reason to run a screen pass that failed on 2nd down rather than running it and winding down the clock. Had Wisconsin lost that game, it would've been squarely on Todd Graham's shoulders for managing the clock so poorly. But the defense looked awesome. You could tell the whole team was well conditioned and Wisconsin eventually just ran out of gas. I was hoping that would happen, as it's been above 100 degrees since about April here. They even said it was the hottest game in Wisconsin football history.

So overall, the Devils need some work, but what a win. Can't beat a 2-0 start.

FORK EM, DEVILS.

Well last night wasn't pretty but a win is a win, I suppose. Great atmosphere in West Lafayette last night so full props to Purdue there.

Someone earlier asked why Wiscy/ASU wasn't the 8:00 ABC game.

1. Playing football at 5:00 in Central Arizona in September isn't the smartest of ideas.

2. Like it or not, people watch Notre Dame. It doesn't matter who they're playing or how they're playing, people are gonna watch ND. Wisconsin and Arizona State would've at best drawn largely regional TV ratings. ND draws national TV ratings.

Georgia played a game at Arizona State not too long ago in September at 8pm ET on ABC.

This was either 2007 or 2008. My money is on 2008.

I remember the Georgia game, although a northern team like Wisconsin wouldn't like it.

EDIT: My bad, AZ isn't mountain time during daylight savings time.

Oh believe me everyone in the Big Ten is aware that Northwestern's good. They aren't sneaking up on anyone there.

Well all the talk is about Ohio st., Wisconsin, Michigan & Nebraska.... Oct 5th in Evanston, mark your calendars, should be a great game.

Anybody else impressed by Oregon? I mean Virgina & Tennessee are not what they where but they are not cellar dwellers as well and they both got 59ed, new coach and not missing a beat. Lets hope both them and bama don't stumble cause that be quite a fun matchup right??
