Quillz
That alternate doesn't bother me that much, actually. It could have been much worse. Not sure Wrigley needed a 75th anniversary patch, though. (Assuming that's what it is). I'd say 50 and 100, but not 75.

Bouj
Perfect example of the zig-zag pinstripes right there. That's how they should all be.I thought thats how they all are? Or is it a Cool Base issue?Nope and nope.Correct me if I'm wrong but I think the Yankees are the only mlb team that does that, everyone else does sublimation for there pinstripes which is why the phillies unis look pink to me. I'm not sure if they're the only one to have the stripes woven in to the jersey in that pattern, but that might well be the case. I'd be curious how the Cubs do it, because their stripes look pretty good too. As far as I know, the other pinstripe teams are printed on (or sublimated... not really sure) and appear washed out depending on the color. Also of note - the Yankees pinstripes are close together than most (if not all) other teams' stripes. Not sure if that's by design, or a byproduct of the manufacturing process but it's another reason why they do stripes better than anyone else.Cubs are like the Mets- sublimated. The sublimation definitely pre-date COOLBASE for the non-Yankee teams. I have the Twins retro cream in doubleknit, and the pinstripes are printed. The Astros 2000's era jerseys were also sublimated. Go Astros!Go Texans!Go Rockets!Go Javelinas! grmuckrakers
Pretty much everything wrong with MLB today:-jingoistic cap-patch for flavor of the month cause-unnecessary alternate uniThat image makes me feel all sad inside...I don't buy the whole "jingoistic" stuff. It's the US on Independence Day. It's a patriotic day. Not everything with the stars and stripes is jingoistic. Not everything patriotic is jingoistic. Jingoism has a bit of "in your face" about it. If you don't like the hats, that's fine. I'd like them to use a lighter shade of blue -- like the Cubs usually wear -- and not navy blue. But saluting the country on Independence Day is not jingoism. CS85
If they had a patch of Osama Bin Laden's bullet-riddled corpse above a "WE GOT 'IM" in huge block text, that would probably qualify as jingoism. But yeah, stars/stripes ≠jingoism. It = $. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. Gothamite
Which they used to do. The line between a patch on the side and a full-on flag cap is the line between patriotism and jingoism.
