dbadefense1990
Hey look another piece of LA sports fan. Do the world a favor and get hit by a bus. When the hell did I directly imply the Dodgers into my original post?Based on the matchup itself, prove me wrong why such matchup wouldn't be a buzzkill for some of us. In the Comerica Park era, the Tigers play clutch ball against the American League bracket, only to piss it all away in the World Series, resulting in laughable performances against the 2006 Cardinals and 2012 Giants. San Francisco, meanwhile, plays some of the most inspired baseball when they do make it into October, yet they draw people away from watching the World Series (maybe from all the stigma still attached by the franchise in harboring one of the biggest cheats in MLB history, Barry Bonds). And casual people will not watch October baseball if it rains, and it's been proven that Detroit and San Francisco are vulnerable to rain in the month. With all the contenders now in place, the least-sexy World Series matchup in general could be Tigers-Giants. Then again, (for all the irrational hate for San Francisco), a WS involving St. Louis yet again will sicken some stomachs.

I don't work for the networks and I don't give a if the ratings for the World Series are low as long as my team wins. If you don't like it go watch Ice Road Truckers or Pawn Stars. Yeah, who cares about ratings? Low national ratings didn't lessen my enjoyment of 2010 or 2012. I couldn't have cared less if people in Dayton, Ohio didn't watch those games. And that Barry Bonds crack is such a weak statement that only bitter Dodgers fans still hang on to. What? 2001, maybe?Yeah yeah yeah, he finished 2nd in MVP voting in 06 and 09(PFFFT!!!), but how much of that was due to him being Derek Jeter? If you listen to the media, he might as well be #1. But give it some time, history won't be nearly as kind to Jeter as ESPN is. cmm
Danny Duffy had to leave the game after 1 pitch with left shoulder soreness. He's been awesome for the Royals this year. They should know more tomorrow but if it's serious...yikes. Poor Royals.

You can't count out the Dodgers, Cardinals, Giants, and Angels, and yes, the Tigers. http://espn.go.com/mlb/story/_/id/11458110/national-league-postseason-predictions

Tough to gage where a guy ranks when he usually only sees a third of the season for usually just 1 inning. That being said, why the HELL am I talking about the Yankees!?
