The Yankees aren't winning anything. And I couldn't be happier.

Guys, they're up 11.5 games with 15 to play. If they go 2-13, the Blue Jays would have to go 14-2 to tie them. There's no discussion at all.

I agree with both of these lol. I haven't been this excited for an O's team since the 96-97 teams. I'm hoping we'll go all the way, but then again all fans always wish this for their teams but the O's haven't been to the series since '83, the year I was born... actually since 2 days after I was born being the last time the O's were in the Series, let alone win one. I was born 10/14/83 and the O's won it on 10/16. Or so I read anyways.

Anyway, back on topic. I'm excited for this year's team. We've found a way to stay competitive and win even with injuries to some of our major players. Years past when a major player got injured, there went our season. But not this year, or the past couple either. I have a feeling we'll get as close as we can to playing for the championship, if not actually playing for it. I'm not doubting we'll not get there, we have the players and the motivation to do it, but I'm just being realistic. Depends on who we face each series.

I really don't care if the Giants don't win the World Series this year. They've played WAY above my expectations for them this year and it's been a fun season to watch. I pretty much expected LA to run away with this division, anyway. But if they can find a way to snatch the NL west from the Dodgers in the last few days, this will probably end up being my favorite Giants team of all time.

Don't even get started on the AL East.

The Orioles can't lose that spot even if their entire starting lineup gets injured, and the Yankees are like 5 games back of the 2nd wild card... with 15 games left. 100% possible.

Five games back with 16 to play is difficult to overcome but not impossible. But coming back from being five games back with 16 to play and having 4 teams ahead of you is virtually impossible. Especially when your offense can't hit for beans. And when your team is full of old farts and injured dudes.

Oakland is 81-66 for the 1st wild card, KC and Seattle are 80-66 for the 2nd wild card. The Yankees need two of those teams, or (Oakland or Seattle) and Detroit, to choke and they'd also need to gain a game on Cleveland and Toronto. If OAK, KC, and SEA all finish 88-74 (7-8 for Oakland, 8-8 for the other two), the Yankees would have to go 13-3 to tie. And there's no way this Yankee team is winning 13 of their last 16. Chris Young will turn back into a pumpkin soon.

Let us not forget 2011.

Cardinals -- Rams -- Blues -- Tigers -- Liverpool

It has been great watching the Giants storm back like this. Just goes to show you that it pays to have faith in your team. All the Negative Nancys out there like Bucfan were giving up on them, but I knew they would finish strong. Never doubted 'em.

It's Debbie Downer, thank you very much.

Well last nights game would have probably been more competitive had ryu not have been pitching hurt and leave because of it. I expect a more entertaining series from now on.

Here's hoping Ryu isn't put on the 15-day DL, which would mean he wouldn't be back pitching meaningful games until the Division Series...

...or until next April.
