The_Admiral
Over 10,000 no-shows at the Bears game, and a whole bunch of early departures. Chicago is a football town! Football football football! Football is life and life is football! Took long enough. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
ninersdd
Reports are that it's likely Trestman is gone at seasons end. Also Jay Gruden continues to take shots at RG3 in public. Who knows who will stay and who goes. What a train wreck that organization is. BEAR DOWN ARIZONA!2013/14 Tanks Picks Champion
CS85
Trestman's firing appears inevitable. Brad Biggs, the Bears beat guy who is typically fair in his observations, said himself that at minimum Trestman should be fired, but that's not the beginning or end of their problems. If the rumor of Trestman's dismissal is true, gotta think Emery's firing is sure to follow. Quote "You are nothing more than a small cancer on this message board. The_Admiral
It would be so Bears to fire all the coordinators and say that this year was unacceptable and they need to give Marc and Jay the pieces they need to succeed. I say this because in 2009 they did exactly this with Lovie Smith. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Unocal
Titans/Jaguars Thursday- worst night game ever? This is the least interesting NFL game on a Thursday since.... Eagles/Rams 1998?

Eagles/Rams 1998?I wanna say Falcons-Jaguar in 2011. The Jaguars were absolutely ass then too, and the Falcons were a playoff team. Atlanta won that game 41-14. It was so bad and uninteresting that Atlanta put in backup QB Chris Redman. Yeah. Titans/Jaguars Thursday- worst night game ever? This is the least interesting NFL game on a Thursday since.... The_Admiral
My new favorite Trestman story is how he addresses the locker room from behind his audience so that he doesn't have to make eye contact with them. He's halfway to being Buster Bluth. ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

ninersdd
I will never forget Mel Kiper Jr's repeated blowing of Clausen leading up to the 2010 draft. It was creepy watching him defend him when other commentators pointed out his flaws. BEAR DOWN ARIZONA!2013/14 Tanks Picks Champion

BBTV
Fans and (some) media suggesting the Eagles need to go "all-in" and get Marcus Mariota. I wonder if given the familiarity with Chip Kelly and that playing for him would increase his chances for immediate success, he could pull an Eli and orchestrate his way to Philadelphia (doesn't seem like that kind of guy, and that's a lot of picks to slide down, unless the Eagles can trade up a lot (even if not to the top.)Also wondering if SF has soured on Kaepernick (sp?) if he could be had for a bargain price. Guy seems like an idiot, but has the physical tools that Chip Kelly would like to have, and honestly I don't know how smart you need to be in that system. FiddySicks
Not sure why so many people find a kaepernick to be such an idiot. He's a little different, sure. But he's been so unfairly scrutinized during his career it's ridiculous. I'm not saying he didn't have a bad year, but he was constantly running for his life because that O line was absolute dogs**t. I think it's more of a confidence issue than an ability issue. The Niners would be fools to let him go this soon. But, they are run by total idiots, so you never know. He either doesn't care, is too dumb to read defenses or learn plays, or too dumb to realize the role that a QB really needs to play in the NFL. I know nothing about the guy so that could all be bull, but that' sjust what I had heard. FiddySicks
That totally contradicts everything I've ever heard about the guy, and sort of sounds like slander on the team's part, but who knows? It sounds like a very Jed York move to leak something like that to the media. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) Sodboy13
The Bears are astonishing. I'm feeling a serious Edmonton Oilers parallel. The_Admiral
The sad part is that the Bears are missing the Oilers' hubris born of having won all those championships because the Bears never won all those championships.
