2014 NFL Season Thread

To me, the Manning vs. Brady debate comes down to this. Which one do I have more confidence in when it's a "clutch" situation - especially if the weather in that situation is less than ideal? I'll take Brady every single time. Can Manning fans honestly say that they have complete confidence in their guy in every situation? I can't.

That's exactly it for me. With a game-winning drive, or poor weather, Brady plays better than Manning from what I've seen.

You guys must not have watched Brady in the last 2 AFC championship games. He has been downright terrible, especially against Baltimore 2 years ago. Granted, Manning didn't look good in the Super Bowl but he was better than Brady in last year's AFC championship.

True. FWIW, my assessment was based on their careers. If I had to pick between Manning or Brady for a "clutch" drive today, I'm taking Aaron Rodgers. B)

The most interesting reference here is comparing Brady and Manning to Kobe and LeBron. My only question is who the Michael Jordan quarterback would be. Because Jordan wipes the floor with the other two.

Joe Montana.
I'll see your Joe and raise a Troy. ;)

I'll take a swing at predicting the playoffs....

Carolina over Arizona

Baltimore over Pittsburgh

Cincinnati over Indianapolis

Dallas over Detroit

Seattle over Carolina (but this will be close....almost went with the upset)

Green Bay over Dallas

New England over Baltimore

Denver over Cincinnati

Seattle over Green Bay

New England over Denver

Seattle over New England

Although, I'd rather see my original prediction of a Seattle-Cincinnati Super Bowl come to fruition....http://boards.sportslogos.net/topic/100135-2014-nfl-predictions/?p=2303168

As long as there's no game officiated by Jerome Boger, we should be in for a cleanly-officiated postseason.

Although, Bill Leavy and his crew are getting bad, too. His crew did a poor job in last week's Panthers-Falcons game. They made lousy calls for both sides and had a general "We don't have it together" attitude for the game.

Wait, so offensive lineman now count as receivers in the area? And that pass interference on the goal line a few series ago was bad as well.

Call me homer if you want, but what does Arizona have to lose by putting in Logan Thomas?

Man, the Seahawks are just gonna waltz casually right on into the NFC Championship game, aren't they?

I refuse to believe that the Cardinals couldn't find a better guy to start at QB than Ryan Lindley.

Millions of Tebow sycophants are tweeting that right now.

Back to actual qbs, Logan Thomas has been on the roster since mini-camp and apparently hasn't been able to master the offense to Arians' desire. And he kept 3 qbs on his 53 all year.
