Reds are clinging to a slim hold on the wildcard (they would finish 80-82, but that's not important). go to the bottom of the 8th down 7-0 to Cleveland. They score 4 runs in the 8th, three of those thanks to light hitting Juan Castro hitting a three run home run. The Indians add an 8th run in the top of the 9th. The Reds plate a fifth run in the 9th to get to 8-5 and with two outs Dunn comes up with the bases loaded I've seen a few walkoff grand slams, but this is the only one I was watching live where a team needed all four runs to win. I'm very thrilled that the Giants were not only able to get the victory (because we're generally terrible at PNC Park), but I'm also doubly thrilled that they were able to do it in a fashion like that!Congrats to the Pirates and their fans for an excellent season. tigerslionspistonshabs Posted October 2, 2014 Share Posted October 2, 2014 This is gonna be a good postseason.I'm salivating at the thought of a Detroit-Kansas City ALCS.And really salivating at the thought of a Dodgers-Nationals NLCS for two reasons: it rids me of the two teams I'm absolutely terrified of (Cards and Giants) and sets up the possibility of a Tigers-Nationals series, with Dougie Fister in their rotation.
