CS85 10,594 Posted October 4, 2014 Molina shoves umpire "The Cardinal Way," remains in game.I saw that. Typically that's an automatic ejection and suspension. Ok. I was trying to ignore the discussion but since the game is getting out of hand...Cardinals organization has a skewed sense of things a lot times. There's definitely a sense of arrogance, and sense of entitlement in some regard. Most of the Cardinals fans I've met are passionate, fair, and know the game very well and are polite to other fans. I've met a few Cardinals fans that who embody that selfishness, we're better than you're fans because we Cardinals fans and those fans are the ones that I don't want anything to do with. I've never liked the "Cardinal Way is the right way" motto. To me it's like Apple's "It's easier to get into Stanford/Harvard than it is to get a job at The Apple Store" motto. I think I need to find new teams to root for. All my teams are considered insufferable by other. It doesn't bother me that people don't like my teams, it bothers me that when my teams win, and I celebrate it's considered "rubbing it in". It feels like I'm not allowed to celebrate because either the victory is marred by something on or off the field/ice. Just to clarify: I have no issue with fans celebrating and rubbing it in. The issue arises when fans who rub it in, tell other fans they are not allowed to rub it in for (insert reason).Anyway, I think I should back to my MLB Postseason wallpaper. Hope to release it later tonight. Screw that. I loathe everything Cardinals and their perceived/real arrogance coupled with success, but if you're not an hole fan, keep that up and enjoy your teams. People like me are clearly holes, just cut from a different butthurt cloth. I know for a fact there are great, great people, good folks, who are Cardinals fans and aren't remotely like the racist, elitist, preening scum that get aggregated. It goes for Cubs fans, Reds fans, all fans, because we're all part of the same culture and species.Would it help if the Cardinals had been loath to embracing the baseball equivalent of "America's Team?" Absolutely, but that's no excuse for abandoning ship simply because some dickheads online, including myself, chirp endlessly about how much I dislike what the Cardinals represent. Stick to the Cardinals if you love them, same goes for the Blues. They're your teams. Yours.I fully expect to exchange smiling middle fingers with any Cardinals fans on here should we ever cross paths.

FGM13 767 Posted October 4, 2014 So I was following the game on the TSN Go app. 6-1 Dodgers in the 5th. Okay. Comfortably out of reach. I check up on it in the 7th. 10-6 Cardinals. That's the most Cardinaly thing ever.

I'm not going to abandoned ship from any of my teams, just because other fans hate my teams. I thought when Ellis hit the HRI thought the Cardinals were done in this game. Shame on me. I was going to mention that there are two games going on in Southern California on a Friday night during commute hours.

Wainwright got shelled earlier. Edit: Okay, that's weird - I thought I was typing all this and the above in one post.

Alex Houston 363 Posted October 4, 2014 Is it sufficient to say the Tigers have become the Twins of this late 2000's, early 2010's? A team with massive firepower that loads up on the divisional titles, yet for reasons behind our comprehension can't seem to win clutch games. And who just saw Anthony Michael Hall in Royals gear owning his Angels friend in this bottom of the 8th?

The second I would hear him start gloating, I'd backhand him real quick and probably sock him in the stomach. I mean, Angels fans have got to vent somehow with the lack of offense they've seen this series.

Yours.I fully expect to exchange smiling middle fingers with any Cardinals fans on here should we ever cross paths.Even though I'm not a huge baseball fan, I would say the Cardinals are my favorite team because I was born and raised in St. Louis and still "live" there for four months out of the year. However, I do agree that Cards fans have a very arrogant attitude about them; very elitist. I absolutely abhor the amount of attention they get compared to the Blues and the Rams. Around St. Louis it's almost as if we don't have a football team. I do firmly believe that the only reason there are so many Cardinals fans is because they are always so good. Even with the Blues: I really didn't see too many Blues fans around the city until we started doing fairly well. Of course, I started following around 2008-2009 so I may have just not noticed. Point is, yes, I agree with you, Cardinals fans can be very annoying. Especially the bandwagoners who would leave at the drop of a hat if the Cards ever suffered a couple losing seasons in a row. Hell, even I, being from St. Louis, kinda want to see the Cardinals have about five seasons worth of losing to see how thin the fanbase becomes stretched. Oh, and that being said: Blackhawk fans are bad too.
