It was also discussed at length how Belichick isn’t a superstitious coach and the Patriots wouldn’t wear white last year. We know how that went.
VikWings 1,596 Posted January 21, 2019 The Saints got what they deserved for wearing mono-black in the NFC Championship Game. We're actually going to have a decent looking Super Bowl. And a great one if the Chiefs win.

We know how that went. They chose to wear white because it was the same thing they wore when they beat the Eagles in their previous Super Bowl matchup. This is a much different situation because 1. The Rams lost to the Patriots in the Super Bowl while wearing white, and 2. Their home/throwback uniform is much better than their mess of a road uniform. I highly doubt they’d purposely choose to wear white again given both of those circumstances.

Curtos07 116 Posted January 21, 2019 It's official. Rams are wearing their throwbacks in the Super Bowl!
BJ Sands 3,813 Posted January 21, 2019 We’re a Chiefs comeback victory from the best-looking SB since Colts-Bears. Maybe longer.

Both the fact that the NFC is the home team and that their throwbacks are their standard home uniforms have been discussed at length. I was simply stating, given the circumstances, how unlikely it would be they’d choose something else. As you can see, I was right.
AgentColon2 2,412 Posted January 21, 2019 Enough teams have opted to go white over the years. I’d call it a 75/25 chance in your favor. Either way we’re both satisfied with the results.

FinsUp1214 5,554 Posted January 21, 2019 Chiefs/Rams would’ve been so much better than what we’re getting in my opinion, but I do think Pats/Rams will at least have some decent contrast thanks to that Rams gold. LA’s carrying that matchup for sure, in my opinion.
BJ Sands 3,813 Posted January 21, 2019 The Pats’ roads are the single worst non-Browns uniform in NFL. There’s hardly any silver other than the helmet, the jersey side piping is a relic of a bygone era, the pants have hardly and discernible stripes (that don’t align with the jersey piping), and the striped socks don’t match anything on the rest of the set. If they wore the gray pants and typical blue socks it’d at least be passable.

Bathysphere 1,758 Posted January 21, 2019 Pretty disappointing how Dee Ford lines up in the neutral zone to ruin what could have been the prettiest SB in recent memory. The refs already did their part earlier today..

Those all have coherent, albeit flawed, designs. The Patriots have horrible color balance, and each of the elements looks unrelated to the others. A total mess.
