Brandiose
The front white panel is classic Vermont, so it had to remain in the mix.
pcgd
I proposed this color scheme for them over 10 years ago while I was still in college! Not suggesting they stole it, just tooting my own horn.

mania
Durham's going with a Rangers inspired look, seemingly. I don't know why they'd want to use that ugly font and a black drop shadow, but it looks like it's coming. Brandiose
The primary logo was crafted to resemble the costume and for the sleeve emblem we asked, "What if this identity existed all along, but there was a throwback Champ from yesteryear - what would that look like?" The sleeve emblem is the fraux throwback concept.

Gothamite
I like it, although the S having two tails seems a little strange to me. Hard seeing the caps etc on my phone, so I'll check those out later. Quote The Green Bay Packers Uniform Database! Now in a handy blog.
Digby
I think the cap logo is a downgrade (sorry Brandiose) ... a little too cartoony and just doesn't feel like a baseball logo to me. The wordmark is certainly better than the previous one though, and I'm curious to see what the uniforms will look like. Still think they never should've ditched the Vermont Expos though! LAWeaver
I wanna bring up the 66era logo and I have a question for Brandiose. For El Paso, you guys made the Chihuahua swinging the bone, similar to the Padre's Swingin-Friar logo, Which I get because SD is EP's parent club. The same can be said with the Eugen Emeralds' swingin-squatch logo. But I've gotta ask, what was the reasoning behind the Swingin-Mechanic logo? According to the minor league website, they are not an affiliate of the Padres. Was it an idea Inland came up with and you just followed along or what? Burmy
OK everybody...I think we all agree by now that Brandiose has jumped the shark.Question is: at which rebranding did the jump take place?

Brandiose
Great question! For the 66ers, they asked us to stay away from the Route 66 road sign. There was some trademarking/confusion issues with that emblem and so they wanted to tell the story of the people who worked on Route 66 - particularly the blue-collar mechanics in the Inland Empire. They also wanted a real modern look but also tribute to the minor league logos of the midcentury - most of which were swinging bats. There wasn't an intended Padres connection (different angles of the character as well). The first time we jumped the shark was the Clearwater Threshers.
bosrs1
Vermont is a definite upgrade, but looks like Yoshi joined TMNTI was thinking the same thing. It really does look like someone used the 1980's version of the TMNT as a base for what they were designing.
