Crabcake
I think I’ve figured out what I hate so much about Steve Levy as a PBP guy. For about 90% of the sentences he speaks, he uses the same kind of “autopilot” inflection where you emphasize random words in a sentence to give the appearance like you know what you’re saying, but in reality you’re completely checked out and your brain is on autopilot. Not sure if that makes sense at all but it’s the best way I can describe it. None of his emphasis feels genuine, which makes him seem disinterested.

You know it’s bad when Louis Riddick and Brian Griese are easily outshining you in the booth. Griese especially screams “meh.” Riddick is alright. It just further proves that MNF (along with ESPN in general) is a rotting corpse whose days of being a national powerhouse are numbered, if not already over. I also genuinely believe I might not see a better MNF combination in my lifetime than Tirico, Gruden, and Jaws. They were perfection and everything since then has been a steady downgrade.

DG_ThenNowForever
Budda Baker looked like a rag doll after that hit. They took defensive players leading with their helmets out of the game, but offensive players are still able to be a battering ram. Some say removing helmets would make the game safer, and there's probably some truth to that. No weaponized tacklings in favor of more rugby-style plays. That would be the hope, at least. Thoughts to Baker...that looked terrible. They should just call the game. 4 Quote 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

Discrim
Man the Cards looked overmatched tonight. One of those days where they probably didn't even tie their cleats right...that the Rams' all star defense has been playing at an all star level hasn't helped, but woof. Steve Levy is just the latest fill-in play by play guy that ESPN asked to try and revive the corpse of Monday Night Football. He sounds utterly disinterested the majority of the time) has really dampened my excitement for what should in theory be one of the more exciting games of the weekend. Of course, we all thought Bills-Pats was going to be a good game too and look where that got us. Not sure whether to shake my head at my misplaced optimism or be proud of including that last qualifier to cover just such a situation happening tonight. This game was over at halftime. Not all 21-0 leads are created equal. I would’ve taken a snowball’s chance in hell over the Cards getting something from this game at 21-0. FiddySicks
If you’re a Cardinals fan, I don’t know how you don’t see this season as a total disappointment. Top of the league basically all season, only to fall completely apart in the second half and get bounced by a division rival in round one. That kinda stuff is WAY worse than just being middle of the road. 7 Quote On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) ninersdd
What a crazy game for my Niners yesterday. That was my first real SF-Dallas playoff game since I was 4 during the 1994-95 NFC championship game. Hopefully Bosa and Warner will be ready to go for Saturday in Wisconsin. Niners are probably the weakest team remaining in the NFC, but at the same time it feels wide open that any one can win. Arizona was so inconsistent in the 2nd half. Beating up the Niners one week with a bunch of backups, then would get pounded the next week by a Panthers team starting an XFL QB. Then getting pounded by the Lions, then 2 weeks later winning in Dallas. Questions remain for them with Chandler Jones probably not coming back, and they could use an upgrade at receiver.(Hopkins injury didn't help) 2 Quote BEAR DOWN ARIZONA!2013/14 Tanks Picks Champion

Tonight may have seen some of the fruit of that approach. 3 Quote On 8/1/2010 at 4:01 PM, winters in buffalo said: You manage to balance agitation with just enough salient points to keep things interesting. FiddySicks
Yeah they’re rounding into form at the most annoying possible time. But the Bucs defense looks to be doing the same, so who knows?
