That holding call on the big play was suspect, especially since there was a lot of getting away with things all night long. Anyway, whatever. Cheaters always win. I didn't get to see Washington play much this year, but what was up with Penix's throwing motion? Does it always look like he's chucking free t-shirts into a crowd? He just looked off. So many opportunities he just didn't connect on, and several really terrible decisions. Anyway, congrats to Michigan*

Anyway, congrats to Michigan* That was his worst game of the year. I'm not sure what was up -- and it's possible it was Michigan's defense -- but he's generally way more composed. Check out highlights against Texas last week; he was a completely different guy. Had Penix played to his normal level, the game is probably a lot different. But he didn't, and that's a credit to Michigan putting a ton of pressure on Penix. Also, he ended up way desperate in the 4th. That was just a guy hoping for a prayer. 1 Quote 1 hour ago, ShutUpLutz! said: and the drunken doodoobags jumping off the tops of SUV's/vans/RV's onto tables because, oh yeah, they are drunken drug abusing doodoobags

It's pretty rare to play the same player 3-4 times in the last 4 years. Lots more information that wouldn't have been available if they were playing Texas or Georgia.
GFB
I'm so happy... Short of a Lions Super Bowl win (the true holy grail), this was the thing I most wanted to experience as a sports fan. Just completely surreal. 2 minutes ago, MJWalker45 said: Michigan having film on him from this year, AND when he was at Indiana probably helped. This Michigan defense was created to slow down downfield, NFL passing attacks to beat Ohio State. And for as good as Penix and those UW receivers are, they're no better than Stroud/Wilson/Olave/Harrison/Smith-Njigba. Texas would have been a much worse matchup than Alabama or Washington with those two monster defensive tackles and Michigan's offense living and dying with running the football, whereas Washington was a finesse team that Michigan could line up and bully on both the offensive and defensive lines. Feel bad for Penix though... nothing but respect for that kid going all the way back to his IU days.

Top of the list would be Dan Lanning, I think. Oregon has lost their coach so many times they’ll probably throw a ton of money at him to keep him, though. alxy8s
Helluva coach. My school has 2-3 more rings if not for him, but couldn’t help but admire him. What potentially awful timing. Kiffin has just got a hell of a transfer class for Ole Miss. Lanning has said Oregon will be his last job, and he did sound legitimately sick over moving his young family from Georgia to Oregon just two years ago. Bama’s DC just retired and their OC sucks. I doubt Saban would be doing this without a replacement in mind, though. Got a bad feeling it’s Glenn Schumann, but if we can raid their roster, then that’s a fair trade. McCall
I think Kirby Smart would be at the top of their list, but I can't see him leaving his alma mater after pretty much getting them to Alabama's level, maybe even higher. Kiffin and Sarkisian are probably on the list. DeBoer would probably leave UW, given that their moving to the Big Ten. Probably won't be able to repeat the success they've had. I wouldn't rule out Lincoln Reilly either. Quote https://dribbble.com/MakaioCall

infrared41
Former Toledo Rockets head coach, Nick Saban, announced his retirement today. In his time as the head football coach at the University of Toledo, Saban had a winning percentage of 82%. Legend has it that after his wildly successful coaching stint at Toledo, Saban went on to have a fairly decent career coaching football at other colleges. We wish Coach Saban well in his future endeavors...wherever he is. 8 Quote All roads lead to Dollar General.
