Buffalo is a good bad team. And I'm not even sure about that.

It wouldn't be the worst thing for them to flame out, get a good draft pick, and come back to play a third place schedule.

Getting Cincinnati, KC and Philly all on the road is wild. This isn't their year.

Meanwhile, and there may have been one somewhere, I'm trying to remember the last time the Chiefs actually played, outside their division, an actual tough opponent on the road*. It seems the last three or four years all their high-profile actually [supposed-to-be] tough matches have been at Arrowhead.

*They did play Jacksonville at Everbank earlier this season, but that was before the Jaguars remembered how to score points on offense and before they got blown out by CJ Stroud et. al.

And now for some actual dumb news that might actually end up being pretty smart...for the Snatit. (Yeah, show of hands from all who thought you'd see "smart" and "Snatit" in the same sentence today.) I've been seeing some chatter about it, but given the nature of sports journalism, I rarely take anything at first glimpse, but then the Snatit beat writers themselves picked up on this and now, well...there seems to be growing buzz about HC Mike Vrabel possibly being traded.

(Here's an additional story about it.)

The last HC I can recall being traded was Jon Gruden from Oakl--um, the Raiders to the Buccaneers. I ain't gon' front: if there's any feasibility to this at all, I'd advise Ran Carthon to gon' pull that trigger. Kraft wants his old TD-catching MLB back, shoot, have him. Take his dip wad & all his assistants with him. Carthon, get some capital back. Draft picks and cap space (which if projections are true then Tennessee may have the most by season's end...sounds like rebuild [off]season to me).

Of course, all this would happen at season's end should it happen at all, but there's a growing (and increasingly vocal) contingent of fans starting to get on board with this idea...

I've been on this for three years now. I don't often believe in conspiracies, but sometimes I do.

In what world is a flameout and missing the playoffs a good thing? What good would it do to wave the white flag?

I mean, we've seen three times this year all you have to do is just get in and anything can happen.

And...the Chiefs seem to play 13 home games every season. Like you, I'm not big on conspiracies, but if I were, I'd think the NFL wants the Chiefs to face as little resistance as possible on their annual journey to the AFC title game.

The Bills will have played at Arrowhead in 21, 22 and 23.

This year, the Chiefs have the Eagles, Bills and Bengals all at home (Bills on the road for each).

In 2024, the Chiefs have Cincinnati and Baltimore at home and play the NFC South (they at least ideas be on the ideas against the AFC East 1).

They keep on getting away with it!

So fans are crying because their team doesn't have an easy path to a title? Pshh

As they say: To be the best, you've gotta beat the best!

The Chiefs have never had a truly impressive signature ROAD win in the Mahomes era.

Basically this exact same thing happened last go around with the Patriots, and it’s one of the most goddamn frustrating parts of this league. It’s almost as if a certain team/market gets good after years of stagnation, and all of the sudden everything seems to line up perfectly for them with their schedule. I wouldn’t necessarily go as far as to say it’s “rigged” or anything like that, but I’m pretty convinced at least some of that “good luck” is steered a bit by the league. It’s very American of them, in that sense. Rich get richer.

And that's the position they've put themselves in. Brady's Patriots never won a huge road game either.

So the never beat Peyton in Indy or Denver, never won in Pittsburg or Baltimore, never won in San Diego, Lambeau Field, or KC. I guess we’ll just forget Brady beating mahomes in his own stadium to go to the Super Bowl.

It definitely seems that way, but isn't the schedule based on a formula?  I didn't think there was any conspiracy possible (outside of the actual order of the games) as far as home and away goes - but I could be wrong.

According to my intensive research, the Chiefs actually were one of the teams shafted with 3 straight road games last season (against Cincy, Denver (who we thought might be good), and someone else.)  The Eagles also got that shaft - for the 2nd time in 3 years (I think.)

Unrelated (but kinda, since it's about the Chiefs playing at home) - Honestly if I'm the Eagles - who I can't believe are 8-1 considering how much they absolutely suck in many facets of the game, and are making a mockery of the notion that it's "hard to win games in the NFL" considering how much they seem to back into wins despite getting out schemed, out played (usually on defense), and always losing the turnover battle, I would actually treat the Chiefs game as a 2nd-straight bye week.

Start Mariota, and lots of other backups, and give Hurts another week after the bye to at least get his knee somewhat more healthy (it probably won't be right the rest of the year), give the line another week off from the Brotherly Shove, and don't risk the psychological impact of losing "legit" to KC again, which could be a factor if they play again in February.  Call it a "scheduled loss".

The Eagles are 22-4 in their last two seasons of regular-season games, and 22-2 in games Jalen hurts has started.  That's just absurd.  Yet after every game, I'm angry at someone (usually the coordinators or D-Backs) and feel like they lost and their season is over.
