How about those Gnats the Yankees seem to be really distracted by them

Craig Sager in the 9th, mentioned that he was told there are known as "Canadian Soldiers" .... yes, we're invading America..... :P (and apparently I skipped past the thread on this very subject... ^_^)

I saw, I came, I left.

The Indians win it.

The Indians win it.

OH MY GOD, THE INDIANS WIN IT!

The Yankees are :censored:ed.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread... but if I know Clemens like I think I do, he'll walk off of the mound on Sunday "injured" and with a five run deficit. But if any team can come back, it'd be one with the Yankees offense... unfortunately the boys swinging the bats in the other dugout aren't slouches and the Yankees rotation, particularly the next three guys in line to start, are question marks.

What a game. I think Pettite was pretty damn manly. That's what great pitchers do... they keep you from scoring and just battle. It was like CC last night. What can be said about Fausto? We've seen it all year. The man is a witch!

Being up 2-0 is awesome, but I can't feel comfortable. I feel good about the Tribe's chances, but... It's like I sit here thinking: "Well... the worst case scenario is Game 5 here on Wednesday with CC pitching". The Yankess have been down 0-2 before. They then went to Oakland and won 2... then Game 5. Cleveland did blow a 2-0 to the Sawx a few years ago.

I was at the Cleveland Vs. New York game. Great game. Probably the greatest game I've ever been to. Very good game. I got pics but I can't post them till sunday or monday. The Indians were TERRIBLE with runners on base. I think they were 1 for 16 with runners on. Crazy. The crowd never gave up the whole game. It's tribe time :]]

Great game!

Pettitte made pitches when it counted... but the Indians bailed him out. I don't care what you're throwing, you need a lot of help to get out of situations where you have runners on third and less than two outs as many times as he did. A-Rod goes 0-4 with three K's. Given his track record, he deserves the criticism he gets for it -- but if a few of the guys around him would pick up their games it wouldn't be nearly as much of an issue. Unfortunate... I like to see him struggle in the sense that he's a Yankee and one they rely heavily on, but as much as I should hate A-Rod, I don't. I feel sorry for him with what he's gone through. I've been saying the postseason will be what makes him decide whether or not to resign with the Yankees or opt out... if he gets booed Sunday night, he's gone for sure -- and if he goes, there's a short list of teams that would be willing to pay for his services at his price and you can bet your ass that the Red Sox are on it.

Speaking of the Red Sox... K-Rod IBB's David Ortiz and pays. Manny hits a bomb... absolutely no doubt about that one. I understand Papi is great and with his playoff track record you don't want to pitch to him with the game on the line but you have to believe that Manny takes that as a slap in the face. 2-0 Red Sox, and they have the best road pitcher in the League, Josh Beckett, waiting for them in game four... if they can force one, that is. The way Beckett pitched in game one, they can't feel too good about their chances against him in an elimination game one bit. And with Schilling against Weaver, I'm not sure they should feel too good about their chances in game 3, either.

The outcome for what could potentially be this years world series is absolutely mindblowing.

"Just when you think you've seen it all, you see something new. I guess that's the home-field advantage for them -- just let the bugs out in the eighth inning. It worked." -- Derek Jeter

Classy, "captain".

Oh, and in A-Rod's defense, Torre put out a horrible lineup for last nights game. A-Rod isn't going to see many good pitches to hit with Matsui hitting behind him because having Matsui in the lineup at this point is like having the pitcher hit.

When did he say that? I know he said something like, (and I'm paraphrasing Jeter's remark in reference to Joba Chamberlain, and the bug sprary not working on him) "I don't know what you tell him. The bug spray didn't work. Just when you think you've seen it all, you see something new happens."

I didn't know he said that, ITE. Yes, "classy" indeed. Baby.

It's in this article. I was hesitant to count the Yankees out but if even their "captain" has been reduced to whining and making excuses, the teams looks done for.

I seriously, seriously doubt Jeter being serious there.

He also said "They're flying around in your face it's going to mess with your vision a little bit, but it was like that for both teams." (source)

Fair enough... the article didn't mention anything about him kidding so I wouldn't know. That could very well be the case.
