Exactly Hedley, and it's not like Sterling and Waldman are the worst. As long as Pat Hughes and Ron Santo are polluting the airwaves, THAT will set the gold standard for sucking. Unless 'Mike and Mike' ever do a baseball game.

Maybe they should; the public outcry would get them tossed from the airwaves.

They severely damaged my general enjoyment of arena football this past season. <_<

I am really disappointed with the Diamondback fans right now. Not only do we have trouble selling out the ballpark, but we have idiots who throw crap on the field just because they don't understand the rule. Glad to see Colorado back on the field but I really hate when a few idiots make a whole fan base look classless.

Yep, just a few bad apples. The call at second was right, though -- a lot of people misinterpret that rule as being as long as the runner touches second it's legal. Rockies are rolling.

Phoenix is not the place to get arrested, that is Maricopa County home of the best Sheriff in America Joe Arpaio, who makes his inmates where pink underwear, and eat nothing but Bologna Sandwiches.

So the Colorado Rockies are 2 games away from the World Series. Who in the fu*k could have possibly called that one? Even if they dont pull it out what an absolutely amazing story this team has been.

I said they'd make the playoffs this year*... was I close enough? I've seen a lot of this team over the past three or four years and they were fun to watch when they weren't competitive... now they're a blast to watch. Incredibly story... the Rockies scouts have been absolutely incredible -- to think they've hit the mark on almost all of these guys. None of the five key guys, Holiday, Helton, Atkins, Hawpe, and Tulowitzki have ever taken a Major League at-bat with another team. Francis is a home product. Spilborghs came up with the Rockies, he's been a key guy during this streak; Corpas, Jimenez... and the guys they brought in from outside never really lit the world on fire elsewhere; Fuentes, Yorvit Torrealba, Kaz Matsui, Taveras... that's impressive to me.

*... or next year. :P

At the beginning of the season I got this really strange feeling about this Rockies team and almost jokingly picked them as my suprise team. I got laughed at pretty consistantly so I kinda dropped the issue. Well, looks like my instincts were right. Of course I doubted that they would do THIS well. I thought they would suprise by going above .500

There is nothing wrong with wearing pink underwear and eating Bologna sandwiches.

hey! Colorado wore something other than the black vests...

Back to Baseball:

This Indians 1-2 Punch of Sabathia and Carmona has become a jab. Sabathia has been terrible! I'm not sure if he's over-amped on the mound or pitching on TOO much rest. Regardless, he's not putting batters away. He is trying to nibble rather than challenge the batter. He is lacking some serious confidence in his stuff. I'm sure Carmona will pitch well tonight... but pitching well could still be a 1-0 or 2-1 loss. Or tonight can be a reversal of yesterday with the Tribe winning 5-1 or similar. Although, based on Schilling's last performance, I can't see him giving up many runs. Sure the Angels line-up was weaker... Schilling still pitched very well. Tonight should be more of the pitchers dual that was expected last night.

I'm just starting to wonder about Sabathia now. He doesn't seem... no, he's NOT the same pitcher that we saw in the Regualr Season. If he doesn't straighten out... it's a World Series trip for the Red Sox.

Other than the fact that they couldn't hit and they couldn't get anyone out, I think things went pretty well for the Indians. This could turn out to be a very short series. If the tribe doesn't win tonight I predict a Boston sweep. Damn I hate The Red Sox.

Well, the game was tied at 6 entering the 11th inning....and Cleveland's scored a touchdown and kicked the extra point in the top half...

And it just might be enough for Joe Borowski to hold the lead...maybe.

Could be worse... he could be Gagne... how did that guy even make the postseason roster? He's never shown any signs of being able to turn around his train wreck of a second half. Sox are in great shape still. They handled CC and Fausto... now comes Westbrook and Byrd, and then back to CC, who I think is exhausted after all the innings he's thrown this year.

... well now you know why I live in Canada. :suspect: ...

and I suppose Gagne wishes he's in Canada right about now.
