That looks really sloppy.I'm just surprised they sprung for the shells. Two years ago they had true throwbacks (mostly) and they wore they buffaslug pants. Now these unis actually have silver in them and they hide the buffaslug pants. I don't get anything the Sabres do uniform wise. But to answer your question, yes you can often see the regular pants sticking out of the bottom of the shell. Many of the penguins were showing their black pants underneath their navy blue throwback shells the other night.You guys are right. This is how awful it looks...For some reason, there are no Hurricanes alt pics with red portions sticking out of nowhere. Or any other team. I don't know if the Sabres are the only ones to use shells.The piping and the white arm pit is an eyesore. Clutter. Ugh.Agreed. The piping does not beautify the jersey at all. If they wanted to "spice things up", why don't they just stick with the Slug jerseys. Piping will never look good with traditional striping............if it ever looks good. Or do they change decals every time they wear their 3rds? Seems like kind of a waste to me. I went to a Hamilton Bulldogs vs Hartford Wolf Pack game and was blown away by how good the Wolf Pack jerseys looked with their bottom stripes following the hemline. I think my Bruins would look way better if the bottom stripes followed the contours of their hem, it might look odd if you were just looking at the jersey, but on a player in action it makes you not even really notice the curved hemline. I couldn't get a picture, but the top of the sleeves were definitelty a different material than any of the other new edge authentics I've seen before.
