Which Pro Teams Have You Seen in Person?

All 16 AFL clubs plus Fitzroy back in the day.

Melbourne Victory, Sydney FC and Adelaide United.

Is basketball a pro sport in Australia these days?

2000 Olympic Basketball.... thats more national teams than pro.

I think watching elite athletes and swimmers, triathletes exactly are a different thing.

NHL: Washington Capitals, Carolina, Florida, Tampa Bay, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, NY Rangers, New Jersey, Toronto, Ottawa, Boston, Buffalo, Montreal, Detroit, Colorado, Edmonton

NBA:none

NFL:none

MLB: Washington, Baltimore, Boston, Oakland

MLS: DC, New York

mainly NHL. no interest in the NBA, NFL too expensive, and the MLB teams here are terrible. Should go to more MLS games though.

NFL: Seattle, Indy, St. Louis, Arizona, Buffalo, Miami, Pittsburgh, Dallas, and Tennessee Oilers

NHL: None.

MLB: Every AL team, Dodgers, and Padres. Did go to '99 All Star Game in Boston.

NBA: Sonics, Kings, Jazz, Magic, Bucks, Nets, Mavericks, Hornets, Lakers, Blazers, Grizzlies, and Bulls (Game 3 of '96 NBA Finals)

Would the English National and US National soccer teams be considered pro?

NFL: Bengals, Dolphins, Chiefs

NHL: Every team. Working at Nationwide Arena has its perks.

MLB: Reds, Pirates, Giants, Indians, White Sox, Rockies, Cardinals, and the Expos back in the day

NBA: None

MLS: Columbus Crew, DC United

Minor Leagues: Columbus Clippers, Toledo Mudhens, Norfolk Tides, Columbus Chill (ECHL) vs. too many teams to remember.

Now I'm going to break the rules. I don't want to limit it to professional sports only because growing up in Columbus, Ohio prior to the arrival of the Blue Jackets didn't really allow for easy access to professional sporting events, but it made it great for a college sports fan.

College Football: Ohio State, Purdue, Akron, Washington State, NC State, Missouri, Northwestern, Michigan, Ohio University, Bowling Green, Central Michigan, Akron again, Miami (OH)

College Basketball: Ohio State, Army, Denver, Ohio University, Northern Illinois, Miami (OH), George Mason, Bowling Green, Kent State.

College Hockey: 2006 Frozen Four- Minnesota, Colorado College, North Dakota, Denver. Then there's Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Lake Superior State, Western Michigan, Miami (OH), Alaska Anchorage, Nebraska Omaha, Minnesota Duluth.

MLB: Detroit Tigers, Seattle Mariners, Cleveland Indians, Toronto Blue Jays, Minnesota Twins, Boston Red Sox, California Angels, Kansas City Royals

NHL: Detroit Red Wings, Minnesota North Stars, San Jose Sharks, Mighty Ducks of Anaheim / Anaheim Ducks (both versions), Vancouver Canucks, Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Los Angeles Kings, Phoenix Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, Dallas Stars, St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto Maple Leafs, Boston Bruins, Buffalo Sabres, No One Actually, Reads Threads, Like This, Columbus Blue Jackets, Pittsburgh Penguins, New York Rangers, New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, Nashville Predators, Florida Panthers, Carolina Hurricanes

I'm pretty sure I'm missing some.

I see what you did there. I'm interested in seeing on my favorite teams fare in terms of popularity by home fans, although I guess for most people it doesn't matter who they're team is playing, they'll go if they have tickets available.

NHL - Not 100% positive on this one, but I believe I have seen them all.

MLB - All of the NL teams. Yankees, White Sox, Angels, A's, O's, TB, Indians... maybe more, thats all I can remember.

NFL - Steelers, Jets, Raiders, Cowboys, Patriots, Browns. I've only ever been to 5 games, all in Pittsburgh. All wins, except the Cowboy game, first game of the 94 season.

NBA - none. I plan on going to a Pacers game only so I can say I have been to one, I truly couldn't care less about the NBA.

Good topic. I actually keep a running total list on my computer here at work, and try to keep all ticket stubs.

At 43 years old, and having lived in several big league cities during my life (New Orleans, San Antonio, Atlanta) and making a point of seeing games while on trips and vacations, I have a pretty darn big list. Plus many defunct and minor leagues in the mix.

The tally:

NFL: All current 32 teams + Houston Oilers, LOS ANGELES Rams, and original Cleveland Browns.

NBA: All current teams + CHARLOTTE Hornets, Washington BULLETS, SAN DIEGO Clippers and NEW ORLEANS Jazz.

National League: All current teams + Montreal Expos

American League:

Seattle Mariners

Anaheim / Los Angeles Angels

Texas Rangers

Toronto Blue Jays

Minnesota Twins

Tampa Bay Devil Rays

Oakland A?s

New York Yankees

Baltimore Orioles

NHL:

Dallas Stars

Calgary Flames

Tampa Bay Lightning

NJ Devils

Washington Capitals

Vancouver Canucks

Boston Bruins

USFL:

New Orleans Breakers

Memphis Showboats

Denver Gold

NASL:

Tampa Bay Rowdies

Philadelphia Fury

Minor League Baseball

(AAA American Association and PCL)

New Orleans Zephyrs

Buffalo Bisons

Iowa Cubs

Louisville Redbirds

Nashville Sounds

Indianapolis Indians

Oklahoma City 89ers/Oklahoma Redhawks

Omaha Royals/Golden Spikes

Round Rock Express

Edmonton Trappers

Calgary Cannons

Salt Lake City Buzz / Stingers

Tacoma Rainiers

Tucson Sidewinders

Vancouver Canadians

Memphis Redbirds

Albuquerque Dukes / Isotopes

Sacramento RiverCats

Colorado Springs Sky Sox

Portland Beavers

(AA Texas League)

Jackson Generals

Wichita Wranglers

Tulsa Drillers

Minor League Hockey:

(ECHL)

Mississippi Sea Wolves

Pensacola Ice Pilots

Mobile Mysticks

Huntington Blizzard

Louisiana Ice Gators

Jacksonville Lizard Kings

Baton Rouge Kingfish

Tallahassee Tigersharks

Birmingham Bulls

New Orleans Brass

Miami Matadors

Greenville Grrowl

Jackson Bandits

(IHL)

Peoria Rivermen

Atlanta Knights

San Diego Gulls

Milwaukee Admirals

Denver Grizzlies

Kansas City Blades

Also, about 5 or 6 minor-league soccer games in town: New Orleans Riverboat Gamblers/Storm vs. teams like the Birmingham Grasshoppers and Ohio XOGGZ, and an exhibition against the Dallas Burn.

And finally, I'm also embarrased to say I've seen three or four Arena Football League games, one with the New Orleans Night, the rest of the New Orleans Voodoo. I'm not even sure who we played. Shows you what I think about the Arena league (cough joke cough). :P

It is what it is.

Good topic. I actually keep a running total list on my computer here at work, and try to keep all ticket stubs.

Not bad, speaking of which, I still have ticket stubs from when I went to a Rams\Saints game in Decembet 1979 at the LA Coliseum along with the 1977 National League Championship between the Phillies and Los Angeles when I was nine months old. Good Flashback !
