I agree 100% with you TFoA

In other news: Watching Sabathia struggle brings joy into my life. :)

I called it. He is not going to do nearly as well with the Yankees as he did with the Indians or Brewers over the long haul unless he loses massive amounts of weight IMO.

Well. CC just got ran, Ransom (and the rest of the team for that matter)'s glove is like a sieve.

It's just one game...but if the Yankees don't have good defense, they will be in 3rd place again.

I'm not sure the weight is the problem, but rather the fact that the Brewers sucked every inning possible, and some more on top of that, out of his arm.

Now that could definitely be the problem. He's had a few months to rest, but they definitely worked him to the bone for that to be a rental.

So...today I discovered that Bloomington, Indiana is within the Cincinnati Reds TV territory. Thank you FoxSports Indiana, for continually replacing the FSN Midwest "mothership" programming of teams I like with that of teams I would rather not watch on a regular basis.

(Seriously, the Reds?! Nobody likes the Reds outside of Cincinnati.)

I want to slap Manny Acta. 8-2 in the 6th. Really?

At least the roads are looking a lot better than I thought. Navy outline on everything could be bigger, but overall, I like it.

Yeah, I was at Nats Park for the exhibition Saturday night and the jerseys from the team store looked nice. I bought myself a gray Zimmerman shirt today. I just wish they could match up the :censored: beveling (or completely get rid of it).

Acta had me shaking my head today. Dunn's shot was amazing though IMO.

Poll: How many people anticipated a 9-8 game today in Phoenix (and don't lie)?

And, Cliff Lee sucked today. And so did the offense. I sure hope this isn't the beginning of a long season.

Oh, and you don't know how happy I am to see CC struggle like this.

Heh. What do you know. We not only won, but we showed some resiliancy.

Delay the elimination from playoff contention to next week.

You won? Who do you play for? ^_^

He's probably good enough to start in their outfield.

Of course, I might be too.

I for one did not expect a 9-8 game. It was a quite enjoyable slugfest and Felipe Lopez is going to be a nice little added bonus for the Diamondbacks this year. My only concern is Webb. Wow, I was expecting 8 K's and 7 innings of work. He was rocked all over Chase today

The problem is simple gentlemen; CC Sabathia cannot pitch on a big stage. He was fine in Cleveland until the pressure of the playoffs. He was fine in Milwaukee until he had to pitch in the playoffs. Just look at Sabathia's postseason stats. The dude straight up chokes when the pressure is on. In New York every game is going to be pressure filled. There will be no "friendly" Cleveland or Milwaukee media to excuse away his performance. Sabathia is going to be one of the biggest free agent busts we've ever seen.

Jason Giambi has gotta be happy as hell to be able to grow his facial hair the way he wants to. Lord knows he tried to do his best with that porn 'stache.

I was thinking pretty much the same thing when I was watching that game. I thought he must be thrilled that he doesn't have to worry about how he dresses etc.

:censored: that, we all know that Acta can't manage and this should be his last year (if he makes it to the All-Star Break).

How bout the line from Emilio Bonifacio:

4-5, 4 Runs, 2 RBIs, 1 HR (FIRST HR; inside the park (first time since 1968 on Opening Day), 3 SBs

And the Nats traded him for Olsen & Willingham?
