6 goals allowed against the offensively-challenged Minnesota Wild. *shakes head*

Well, when our defense lets them walk in there and take good shots, they will probably go in. I wouldn't blame Pogge THAT much, but he needs to be better and learn to shut the door like Cujo used to do.

Wow... Wild score 6 goals, Ducks score 7 goals, Sabres score 10 goals...

Wowza indeed!

If only the Ducks could get that every night hahahaha

Geesh... I know it...

It's a damn good thing the rest of the conference isn't pulling a San Jose or a Detroit. All these teams so close together. The Ducks jumped from 9th to tied for 5th (Phoenix has one less game played, but tied in points and wins. Ducks lead head to head)... It's absolutely disgusting that the Ducks are tied for second in the division and are 22 points behind San Jose. Ugh...

There is no time for playing around or rest... 5 points from 4th place and home-ice, but only 4 points from 11th place and a comfy seat on the couch.

Huge game for the middle of the standings in Anaheim tomorrow night.

Ducks and Blackhawks.

I just hope we didn't waste all our offensive talent for the week on the Mutts...

Currently the standings in the western conference have spots 6 through 10 all tied with 51 points. This is going to be a crazy playoff race. Anyone of these teams could finish anywhere from 5th to 13th.

edit: I'm looking at the scores from tonight's game and one jumps out at me, Edmonton 2 Buffalo 10! What the hell, did the Oilers play without a goalie?!

No, Roloson got pulled after 3 goals in the first 11 minutes. The other guy wasn't much better.

And Rick Nash had the weirdest hat trick you'll see in a long time: Shorthanded, Power Play, and Overtime (4 on 4).

I generally agree, but if there's one player I'm giving a 12 year deal to, it's Zetterberg.

And I'm still astounded at how good the Sharks are looking. I mean they're looking SCARY good. Lord I hope they can keep this up in the playoffs. This team has not only gotten me back into hockey for good, but has definitely turned me into a bigger fan than I've ever been. And they've helped me find a sport to watch during that long break in between the Super Bowl and spring training (Ok so it's not that long, but it sure as hell fells like it is).

A Washington Capitals fan calling someone else a bandwagon fan. Now I've seen everything!

and where were Pens fans during the pre-Crosby years and during the bankruptcy? talk about the pot calling the kettle black. i hate Pens fans who call Caps fans bandwagoners when they had lean attendance years themselves.

and myself, ive been a Caps fan since 1992.

Uh, thanks. I've been a fan of the Caps since living in DC Area in 2006.

Wow, since '06? You've definitely earned the right to call other fans bandwagoners!

Wahhh. First, I didn't call anyone a bandwagon fan until someone else did because that's lame. Z34049osystem took a shot at someone and I replied in jest. And pre-Crosby years? Are you kidding? I think the Penguins enjoyed quite a bit of success and popularity before Sidney came along. Of course I'll gladly admit there are plenty of fair weather fans in Pittsburgh. Are you going to argue there aren't hundreds of new Caps fans all of a sudden?

last night's Blue Jackets-Red Wings contest was a great game for me. I watched the whole thing with my roommate who is a very smug Red Wings fan. When Rick Nash scored the game and hat trick clincher in overtime, I jumped out of my chair and threw my hat down on the floor.

People were saying this isn't a rivalry. Jackets fans have wanted it to be since 2000, Red Wings fans didn't care about this expansion team, but I think it's getting there. Detroit beat Columbus in last year's season series by 1 point, and this year they're tied at 1-1. A playoff series would heighten it. You've got divisional opponents, playoffs, and then there's also the Ohio State-Michigan aspect, mix them all together and you've got a recipe for a rivalry.
