Count me as a bigger fan of the Deion Sanders uniform in the locker. The all whites aren't hideous, but I prefer the classic, boring look because of childhood memories.

Funny, I have childhood memories of Deion in all white (well, with gold helmets, but you get the idea). Also, apparently these are not the uniforms they're going to wear...there's going to be a new set (according to the story where I found out about the new helmets).

Louisville under new Coach Charlie Strong has gone to white facemasks (from red).

Word is that he will also be getting rid of the pointed stripe on the helmet and replacing it with traditional striping.

As for uniforms, it is said that the new ones will be similar to Florida's (where Coach Strong came from) and/or will look similar to Louisville's uniforms under Howard Schnellenberger.

I haven't heard anything about that but I do know that the Cards have used the white facemask in spring practice so I wont consider the change official until the fall or a uniform unveiling. Hell, I've seen pics from this spring alone where there was a plain white helmet, a white helmet with the card logo on the side, and one with the card logo on the side and the pointed stripe. All with white facemasks.

The black helmets are different from the ones worn with the Pro Combat unis. I also don't know why they don't just use the same spear on the white and black helmets.

I don't have a problem with the whites and they've worn all white before, but with the gold helmet; and I don't have a problem with the black as it is a color of the Seminole Nation and the Seminole Nation supports Florida State and the use of the name. What I find funny is the "Unconquered" no longer on the pants. Is that because they have been "conquered" over the past few years?

Actually, those are the same all blacks. They say Unconquered down the other leg. The rumor is that they debuted the new helmets ahead of schedule. These are last year's uniforms.

Michigan State will unveil new unis for most of their major sports teams Fri 4/23 @315. I am so very excited. Hopefully the rest of the rebrand went better than that proposed "300" style logo

That FSU all-black uniform is now way better because it's actually all-black. The gold helmet messed up that look for me, IMO.

The all white look...idk, I guess I'm gonna have to see that in action in order to give a decent opinion on it. Right now it looks "meh."

I think it will be something boring. A few years ago didn't they make a big deal about new uniforms, and all they did was add a little logo on the back under the collar?

I find this to be a huge shame. The gold helmets are hands and shoulders above the white helmets IMO.

Agreed, but I wish the logo on the gold helmet was green and not black like it really is.

I think the gold helmets are horrible and almost anything would be an upgrade. The shade of gold was completely off and the helmet decal was black with a black offset outline, just bad.

Somebody posted this in a Build-A-Tebow thread in the request forum, but I think it works even better as a discription for these new MSU uniforms.

Man, those are awful. What in the world is the point of having two green jerseys that are nearly identical sans the shoulder yoke and a different wordmark? I guarantee you that the white shoulder yoke is gonna be ditched mid-year and we'll be stuck seeing the Cardinals look. I really don't mind the new Nike pro combat pants as much as some, but it looks just awful on a team like MSU who looked great in a simple looking uniform.

but would anyone know if the Jackets are going to wear uniforms in the template they wore for the bowl game??

...or are they going to keep wearing this, which is far superior, imo
