Anyway, the Red Sox are now 2-8. I'm not going to say they're done just yet. However, if they aren't at least 6-10 by this time next week, it's probably going to be time to hit the panic button in Sawks Nation.

Pathetic.I'd like a little more context. Right now all we have is a picture of a mostly empty Where The Marlins Play stadium (or whatever it's called.) When did this game take place? Is that really the Marlins and whoever on the field? It could be pictures from a high school game for all we know. Sorry, but until I see more evidence, I'm calling bull- . An MLB game with such poor attendance would have made the news somewhere right?

Sport
Reds are 7-3, which I'll gladly take any year, but holy look at the Cleveland Indians. They start 0-2 and have now won 8 straight. Where did that come from?
FiddySicks
Speaking of low attendance, is it common so see so many empty seats when the Jays play the A's, or are they really having some issues there? I was absolutely shocked how empty is was the last series. The Giants cutesy little story line of having absolutely nothing to work with other than pitching isn't ringing in with as much magic early this year as it was late last year. In fact, it looks downright amateurish. Something has gotta be done to address issues in the outfield as well as hitting and FAST or the champs could find themselves out of the race by the all star break. I was absolutely shocked how empty is was the last series. I can't help but think that these low turnouts are (I know this sounds cliche and even obvious) mainly just a result of the poor economy. It sounds like Opening Day was great in a lot of places, and then plummeted for the second game. The Orioles were 3-0 heading into their home opener, and drew 46,593 for that game. They were 4-0 heading into their second home game of the season, and only drew 12,451. And it's stayed in that low range since. I think it has more to do with the economy than any sort of lack of interest in the game. WIZARDS ORIOLES CAPITALS RAVENS UNITED

I think it has more to do with the economy than any sort of lack of interest in the game. It's not the economy, at least not in Toronto. It's missing the playoffs for the past 17 years. People in Toronto want to support the Jays, there's a lot of talk around the city about them, but I know many people can't be bothered to show up in the first month of two of the season to go see they Jays play a team they have no opinion on in a closed dome on a Tuesday. The attendance always picks up in June because the roof is generally open, and then the attendance drops when the Jays lose their chance at the playoffs because of the damn American League East.Toronto is not a baseball city, but there is a larger amount of baseball fans here than it appears at first glance. Hopefully now that the team seems to be heading in a positive direction, the fans will start heading out to the park is larger numbers.

dfwabel
Josh Hamilton out 6-8 weeksOnce again his style of play will keep him at 120 games or less. He is only signed through 2012. Nobody should give him a long term deal. Too brittle and this did not even occur playing outfield.
