Looks like Brandon Belt will move to the outfield so that Aubrey Huff can return to first soon. Or they'll just bench him. Thank goodness. When Skip comes back (I call Cody Ross "Skip" because of his home run trots against the Phillies) Belt should be back in Fresno, but the Giants have a Bettman-like stubborn refusal to admit that it was too early to bring him up.

The Phillies fans at the Phils home game in Washington tonight should be ashamed of themselves for booing Jayson Werth, especially the fat douche who they showed repeatedly on TV who has probably never done anything remotely athletic in his life. Anyone who boos someone for taking $30M more than the next best offer should look in the mirror and boo themselves, because they'd do it too. I wasn't as big a Werth fan as most here, but I can't hold anything against anyone who capitalizes on what was probably the only opportunity to cash in that he'll ever have. All he's done since is talk about how much he loved Philadelphia, how he wish he could have stayed, and called Ruben Amaro a "dumbass" for not keeping him and Lee (which is dumb, because despite what he said there's no way they'd both be here) yet , people (probably a minority, but a vocal minority) are going to boo him. F you, you fat ugly fat fatsos. Eat another cheesesteak - because all you're doing is playing a part in a play, and your dumb fat character eats cheesesteaks and boos.

Also, Joe Blanton still sucks. He should be in the stands booing real baseball players.

I like that they brought him up to get him some experience, but unfortunately not only is he struggling at the plate, his very existence on the team is hurting the team chemistry by forcing Huff into right field. Aaron Rowand has been suitable so far this season so it really makes no sense to have him on the bench when our outfield is struggling so much. Hopefully the injuries to both Cody Ross and Andres Torres heal up smoothly and quickly.

I think Belt has alot of Potential to be a great player . but put him on the bench for now. let him get warmed to the bigs. play Huff the Panties man at First. Ross in RF. then after some time. Make Belt the CF. and trade away the Wrecking Ball to the Faceman Aaron Rowand (refering to his bloody nose incident in Philly a few years back)

Also, Joe Blanton still sucks.

You mean he hasn't gotten any better in the 24 hours that have passed since your last Joe Blanton rant? Shocking. :P

The Red Sox are now 2-9. Life is good here in Red Sox Hater Nation.

The Red Sox are good comedy.

The Indians finally lost tonight, but it was in a 1-0 1 hit shutout. They might be this year's team that mysteriously stays in the hunt despite having no talent and playing off of pure adrenaline and trying to prove doubters wrong.

This Reds-Padres game is also a pretty good story. The Reds blow the lead in the bottom of the 8th. Brandon Phillips keeps the game tied with an incredible play to end the 8th. In the 9th the Padres load the bases and Cameron Maybin hits a ball that looks destined for the gap that Jay Bruce comes out of nowhere to snag on the run. In the 10th the Padres loads the bases again before Jonny Gomes saves his own ass with a backtracking catch on the third out on a ball he badly misplayed. The Reds start the top of the 11th with two outs, they then proceed to score 6 two out runs, including a 3 run bomb by Drew Stubbs.

I love how this team can come out of nowhere and score 4, 5, 6 runs seemingly in the blink of an eye. The only problem is the bullpen isn't pulling their weight. This team would be unbeaten without hiccups from the bullpen.

Rays look like they got momentum. if they beat Boston tomorrow. there suddenly 4-8. who knows what can happen.

That's the first time the word "suddenly" has been followed by "4-8".

No, nor has he used a treadmill in those 24 hours. He's the luckiest man on the face of the earth - he got a ridiculously large contract for someone of his "ability" due to arbitration, he's already won one WS, and he's a starter on what some have called one of the best rotations ever, and due to his status as a pro athlete, he probably gets to bang his choice of moderately-attractive women despite the fact that his thing probably doesn't extend much past his gut, yet he just doesn't seem to care. How can he not be motivated to try and get into the same category as those other 4 pitchers? Just lose some damn weight. I really don't dislike players for not having talent, and I wouldn't boo him for simply being bad (that's more management's fault for misjudging talent) but when a guy just doesn't put forth the effort, that's a disgrace.

And his stupid facial hair looks dumb too.

Man is it just me or has BBTV been sounding a lot like willmorris lately?

No because his posts have a basis in reality. Willmorris would say something like, "If I was Joe Blanton I'd only accept $30,000 at the most. The Phillies should just stop trying right now. They're going to watch the Nationals in the playoffs when it's all said and done."

No. I hope for their sake they stay in the hunt into August, but they are going to lose 90 games this year.

So it seems like the Dodgers' first base coach not only was brought in solely to work with Matt Kemp, but he also doesn't like any other players, and refuses to work with them. God bless you, TJ Simers. I had been thinking this Lopes guy always looked grumpy out there.

Agreed. And I thought the Phillies didn't even offer him a deal anyways because they're tagging Dom Brown as the RF of the future/now. But regardless, you're right BBTV. At the end of the day he still helped you all win a World Series also. That alone should be enough of a reason not to boo him, let alone the $30 million richer reason.

NATIONALS ARE GUNNA ROCK

And yes, great win by the Natties. Team's really got a new swagger to them this year. I think the days are gone where we are the worst team in baseball.
