I'd never believe I'd come to hate the Canucks.

Isn't it a romp? It's like a whole team of ice-skating A.J. Pierzynskis.

That's not only one of the best definitions I've ever heard to describe just why I dislike the Canucks so much, it's also probably funniest thing posted on the boards in awhile.

I was trying to explain to my wife why I couldn't root for the Canucks in the Finals, that it wasn't just a "they beat the Blackhawks" thing. This sums it up pretty damn well. Seemed like every shift tonight, they were setting out to prove they're a bunch of skating turds. I would have thought it was the Blues out there if it wasn't for the fact that it's the postseason.

Also, as I've not been in this thread in a couple weeks:

Nobody really eats deep-dish pizza on a regular basis, by the way, but Lou Malnati's does it worlds better than goddamn Uno, the T.G.I. Friday's of pizza. Stop talking about Uno.

Quoted for truth. Uno is about genuine Chicago as Blues Brothers 2000. You don't have to get deep-dish in Chicago to have great pizza, but if you want it, go to Malnati's and get it with the butter crust and the sausage patty.

In addition, the music in Blues Brothers 2000 is questionably "blues" music.

With true Canadian politeness, the Canucks allowed their hosts to win the game while shoving mocking, classless fingers in their faces.

Well weather Burrows meant to bite Bergeron. Yeah, Burgeron put his fingers in Burrow's mouth, but from the replay Burrows, clearly chomped on it. So, he's responsible for his actions, as are the Bruins for their actions tonight.

I am a big fan of hockey, but this whole biting thing is so stupid.

All in all, while it might not have been a suspension offense or that big of one to start with, it's quickly turning the NHL into the laughing stock sports right now. INot to mention making BOTH Canucks players and Bruins players look like classless jackasses. I've seen more well behaved toddlers, speaking of which don't you learn not to stick your fingers in someone's mouth and not to bite people in pre-school/kindergarten?

I wonder what Julien thinks about his players doing the finger taunt after saying that he wouldn't allow that in his organization. Seems a wee bit hypocritical.

It also baffles me that AV always leaves Luongo in the nets for blowouts, he almost never pulls the guy, when you're down 4-0, what was the point of leaving him in there? Why not put Schneider in, get Roberto some rest instead of letting him get shelled? Just one of his weird coaching blindspots.

For the guy who was asking about Ballard, AV has never trusted him, and doesn't like his high risk/high reward style. Basically yeah, he would probably rather play anyone except maybe Chris Tanev. Ballard was mismanged badly this year, AV shattered his confidence by sitting him and not giving him enough ice time.

So, Rome, suspension? I'm thinking they may give him one game just to take him out of the line up and try to keep things under control.

Julien gave Lucic and Recchi alot of heat about it and vocalized his unhappiness in the presser.

Romes gotta get at least a game, the optics of it are bad even if the hit is borderline. Besides, the NHL always punishes to the injury and not intent.

Rome will get 2 games, AV will put Tanev, the ghost of Luc Bourdon, or Randy Carlyle in before Ballard, and someone will lose a finger, but no penalty will be called in the play.

Cool, I didn't watch the pressers. Rome, I'm not sure as it's the NHL, they could give him a game, or nothing, or say there was no conclusive evidence that anyone named Aaron Rome actually exists.

I think because of sports concussions being in the forefront of hockey and football, he will get a game.

Not sure he deserves it, as I do not think he was head hunting.

The finger stuff was tit for tat. You want to bite and put your fingers in our faces, you're gonna get it right back.

It should be done with on both sides at this point.

I'm glad Julien said something of displeasure after the finger taunting. From the reaction that MAxim Lap had with it, he looked like he knew was coming but also like he got an ear full from AV after game two about it.

To prevent that, one of the referees needed to just give anyone that does that the GM boot right away. No penalties, just a Game Misconduct and show the rest of the players, that's enough, you play with class, but nope it's the NHL stanley Cup finals, and short of shooting someone, anything goes... well, okay maybe not that bad, this isn't the NBA... okay I really got to stop, I swear it's the soda. Anyway, the refs started handing out game misconducts halfway through the third - I just looked at the game recap, wow, all the penalties in the third - 20 to be exact.

After Lucic did it, I was like alright we're done with it. Then Recchi did it, and I was quite sick of it. It was like Milbury going on and on and on about it. Its done, its over with. Play the damned game.

I didn't actually care that the Bruins did it, I just found it amusing after the Bruins' coach and pro-bruins media people went on and on about how it was classless by Lapierre that the B's turned around and did the exact same thing.

I don't know if I would have had the same patience they did. If they're stupid enough to jam their fingers in someone's mouth, I believe they deserve to get bitten off. You stick your hand in a dogs mouth and get bit, you keep you damn hands away from the dogs mouth. The Bruins have some set of balls doing that.

Rant aside, Bruins did everything they needed to turn the series around. If they can play tough, grinding hockey like that for 3 more games they're golden. Now the ball is finally in Vancouver's court to adapt and survive.

Vancouver grits out a much better performance in Game 4, and seals it at home in 5, possibly in OT.

True North Sports and Entertainment announces that their team will be named the Winnipeg Thrashers.

Downtown Winnipeg is filled with looters and rioters the next day.

The Canucks are the small, yappie, loudmouth bully that talks s**t and pokes fun and jabs at the bigger kids because they know the bigger kids won't fight back...

Boston is the fat kid that snapped and fought back.

Funny you say that. My impression of Corey Perry has always been the kid that stands behind the bully and says "yeah!" every now and then, which given the makeup of recent Ducks rosters, is actually kind of what Corey Perry is.

♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫
