TFoA
@chadfordinsider Nets offered everything they could for Howard: Brook Lopez + FIVE 1st Rd picks. NJTank
I think any NBA news should be confirmed by other sources than ESPN, they are becoming less reliable then Bleacher Report. www.sportsecyclopedia.com For the best in sports history go to the Sports E-Cyclopedia at http://www.sportsecyclopedia.com

You could trade those picks by themselves for something big or hang on to them and restock for the next 15 years. C'mon now, Orlando. The_Admiral
So can we stop saying that David Stern is an awful human being and the NBA is doomed because cheap owners blocked a trade? ♫ oh yeah, board goes on, long after the thrill of postin' is gone ♫

Mings
It finally got done.Hornets get:GordonKamanAminuMinnesota's pickClippers get:PaulToday is the day that basketball finally died in New Orleans. Paul was the franchise to the people here. Now that he is gone, I don't see the fan base supporting the team very well nor an owner willing to step in and buy them unless Gordon goes on a tear. Also that quite possibly was the dumbest move Orlando has ever made. I would have taken that in a heart beat, because quite frankly the Nets will still only be below-average to average and more likely than not those will be lottery picks. I have to agree, I think this is the end of New Orleans & if they can get it done, the possibility of Seattle finally getting back in the NBA. I say might be, because who knows? That pick is gonna be golden if Minnesota plays like I expect them to (HELLA exciting, but still terrible & a lock for the lotto), and it's not like Aminu & Gordon are talentless. They could have a nice squad in a year or 2.#2: Disagree. The Nets would've had Dwight Howard and Deron Williams. Those 2 alone could get you at least a 6-to-8-seed. Lights Out
FINALLY, after all the drama and arrogance from David Stern, the deal got done! It's a great day in Clipper Nation. I'll be sad to see Eric Gordon go, but the upside is that Chris Paul/Chauncey Billups is one of the best point guard tandems in recent memory.Am I the only one who thinks that the Clippers gave up an awful lot for a guy who may not even resign with them? Here's my view: the Clippers get two years to convince Paul that we're for real (as in, a contender in the West). We also now own Paul's Bird rights, so we can pay him more after those two years are up than his other potential suitors can. I'm pretty confident about the future of this franchise with CP3. See Red
Am I the only one who thinks that the Clippers gave up an awful lot for a guy who may not even resign with them?Yeah I'm not a big fan of this deal from the Clippers perspective either. Gordon is going to be very, very good at a position that's really not that deep in the league right now.
