Wally1912
RIP PurpleIf they went through the trouble of creating a wordmark that can essentially be read the same from both sides of the court (slight differences in shading of beveling), why not flip the alternate logos and corporate names to have one set face the other side of the court? henburg
I would have to say that both teams look good (minus SA's new alternates) but I wish that Brooklyn had gone out of the box just a little more. Maybe something like putting the shield from the logo around the numbers.
keynote
Spurs > Nets?Nets < Spurs? Both look good? Both look ugly?& whyI prefer the Nets' uni; I think it looks more up-to-date and in keeping with current trends in uni design. The monochromatic #s (PHI, UTA, CLE) and wordmark (PHI, UTA, CLE, WAS sans the little basketball) look far more 2012 than the Spurs' double-outlined #s and wordmark. However, I think the Net's front # looks a bit small - but I'll get a better sense of that once I see a player wearing the full kit. On a side note: I never liked how the Spurs unis were cut. Something about those unis flowed in action made it seem like they were made of a stiffer material than other teams. perhaps the large shiny side panels impacted how the unis draped. I'll admit that I haven't noticed it as much since adidas took over the league contract and introduced a relatively trimmer jersey fit, so this may be an artifact of previous iterations of the uni. I dunno; maybe it's just me.
jussten
I like the simplicity of the Nets uniform, only gripe I have is the front number being so close to the Brooklyn script.
JPDesign
Connection to upcoming OKC alternate? These shorts popped up on eBay titled as alternates. It goes along with the navy blue that was rumored when the adidas catalog came out.
Lights Out
I prefer the Spurs' look, though I'd still like to see them use a matching San Antonio wordmark on the road. The Nets' look is too boring and derivative. You don't often see modern two-color designs, and I feel like the Nets should have gone that route instead of imitating the Celtics and Cavs. Plus, they need to wear the team name at home. Discogod
I must say, if the Thunder are going the navy blue route for their alts, it's a bold and refreshing choice. You don't often see teams with navy unis in sports these days.
