2012-13 NBA Logo & Uniform changes

Recommended Posts

Hey Andrew H, could you provide some insight for what to expect form the Thunders new alt?

i'm no Andy, but i think it's gonna be similar to this template:

Cincinnati%20Royals%20Jersey.jpg

with this main color + wordmark:

with these shorts:

i imagine it'll be close to that.

with the NBA logo on the other side, maybe a more complex neck / arm trim, and of course, the correct wordmark.

Why would they have two vertical stripes on the jersey that intentionally fail to match up with two vertical stripes (of equal width and layout) on the shorts?

quick mockup.. sincerely, I hope they won't be going this way

Honestly, I don't like that at all.

The uniform is terribly bland. It's not like the thunder are Penn State. They have like six colors on their logo. Go with an orange alt that says OKC on the front, and you're good.

Not sure I like the uniforms but I do like that simple alternate color scheme than the assortment they have now, but that's just me.

Man...the Knicks were so close. So damn close. The solid blue waistband needs some orange, and the NEW and YORK seem way too close together. And so once again, the Knicks find some improbable way to fall flat on their faces.

The new Blazers reds...the new take on their sash is rather interesting. They should probably have left the black numbers to the Bulls, however. The Portland lettering is rather boring, as well.

If they went that route, it would be exactly what people would expect, based on the history of alternate jerseys since their inception. If we've learned anything in the last five years, it's that being predictable doesn't get you much headway in terms of marketing, recognition and notoriety. An alternate jersey in the team secondary color (I don't even think the Thunder like to use their orange, to be honest) with the city abbreviation or some alternate wordmark on the front is a formula, and it's the very definition of mundane at this point. There has to be something more in order to stand out.

Something you might see as terribly bland stands out as something unique within the league to someone else.

Just a saw a picture of the new alts on NBA 2k13 (did not see shorts, assuming they are the shorts shown before). Just swap the front number and Thunder script and you're pretty much on it. The Thunder script is a little closer to the side of the jersey and the stripes are not as wide. This is assuming that what I saw was an accurate portrayal of the uniform.

Inbounds: Pretty good.

Out of Bounds: Oh God, Why?

So......what's the code to unlock that? :)

I've been trying to find the same thing. Is it something you have to pay for? because I can't find the code anywhere online...

Indeed, the blue is a nice look. Bledsoe went off tonight too.
