This year might yield the best BCS bowl games in years. Just Look:

Fiesta: Baylor vs UCF

Rose: Michigan State vs Stanford

Sugar: Oregon vs Alabama

Orange: Clemson vs Ohio State

BCS NCG: Florida State vs Auburn

Every projection I'm seeing has the Sugar as Oklahoma vs Alabama

Oregon vs Alabama would be sweet though. I've always wanted to see how those teams would matchup.

I' struggling to figure out where VT will go in our bowl game, the ACC's slots go like:

1. Orange Bowl vs. BCS

2. Chick-Fil-A vs. SEC

3. Russell Atheltic vs. American

4. Sun vs. PAC-12

5. Belk vs. American

With FSU to the title, and Clemson to the Orange (most likely, or another BCS Bowl) I think that would probably put Miami in the Chick-Fil-A thanks to Duke's loss they will likely be ranked and are a much more attractive option. I think Duke might get into the Russell Athletic over VT though, that's 10-3 vs. 8-4 and Duke has a head-to-head advantage. The Russell Athletic could find Tech more attractive due to a bigger contest. But Tech didn't sell the bowl last year too much, and they may try Duke to get a better matchup. I think that would put Tech in the Sun Bowl versus most likely USC or Washington, honestly I'd rather play SC, Washington is a very skilled team that has only lost to good opponents, and 2 of those games were very close. USC under Ed Orgeron was good, but if VT played USC I think it would be a better matchup for my team.

Forgot about that, but still all better than last year on paper at least.

USC is really going all out to justify hiring a .500 coach in conference games. Sarsikian is in Indy on Gameday, has been on nearly every national radio show, was on the NFL Network ncaa podcast and more. Meanwhile, he doesn't have a staff since USC and Washington are at an impasse in buyouts for his staff.

He also had to answer for that radio interview he have as then Washington HC just 2-3 hours before he was announced as USC HC. He was saying he wasn't interviewed by USC and he was focused on the bowl game/next season for Washington. Why do coaches do this?

Because deals can fall through at anytime, and you never announce something until it is absolutely certain.

I can understand that. My thing is from a Washington standpoint, if I were a fan or player, to hear coach say he is looking foward to the next game and season then get announced as coach of another team would tick me off.

Imagine if he said he was excited because he's leaving to go to USC, and it turns out he's still the coach at washington.

Better to have them mad at you when you're leaving, than when you're staying.

I suppose. Damned if he does, damned if he doesn't right?

Sucks so much for Northern Illinois. Falling from a BCS bowl game to a game with a laughable bowl name. Yeah, that's what you want to tell your kids in the future:

"What's that, daddy?"

"It's my ring for winning the county credit union bowl."

Zona gets the Advocare V100 Bowl in Shreveport vs Boston College. I read that the Pac-12 got hurt by the Ducks not getting selected to a BCS Bowl.

And they shouldn't be if you think the most deserving teams should go...conference tie-ins aside.

If you took the projected BCS rankings and equate them to BCS games down the line:

NCG:

FSU vs Auburn

BCS 1:

Alabama vs Michigan State

BCS 2:

Stanford vs Baylor

BCS 3:

Ohio State vs South Carolina

BCS 4:

Clemson vs Mizzou

Because SEC SEC SEC SEC SEC!!!

Yeah, what a disgusting injustice that the Sugar Bowl didn't break its traditional SEC tie-in to select twice-blown-out Oregon over 11-1 Alabama.

:censored:!

And, of course, Oregon is gonna get the Holiday Bowl while were stuck going to the s****y Alamo Bowl in Texas. Dammit, this couldn't have been a worse scenario for the Sun Devils.

You're kidding right? Without the 2-team limit, you'd probably see another.
