NFL '13 SEASON THREAD

Jeff Tuel was miserable and I have no idea who Thad Lewis is.

Jesus. If he's the Bills' best chance to win, they have no chance to win. Too bad too, because they were clearly clicking with Manuel right before he got hurt.

The one thing I will say about yesterday is that, even though Romo threw a bad pick, if it weren't for him playing some of the best football I've ever seen a QB play, the Cowboys would have been blown out. I'd say that pathetic excuse of a defense is the reason why we lost.

If he had gone down the field, passed the all-time passing mark (he was only 42 yards away before the last series started) and set up the Cowboys to win with a FG or actually scored a touchdown, that would have been the greatest quarterback performance in the history of the game.

When a QB is that close to greatness on a level we've never seen before and he ends up throwing a pick, I cannot fully blame Romo for that loss when he was the only reason why we we were in the game. Even after the pick, if our defense had stepped up and forced a 3 and out, we still would have had a chance.

The only good thing, is that we're still tied for first in this terrible division, our defense cannot play as badly as we did yesterday. The Cowboys won't score 48 points again and lose (yesterday was the first time in Cowboys history that they scored 39 points or over and lost. We were 44-0). We get to play the NFC East and all of our losses are to non-conference opponents.

Cowboys - Lakers - LAFC - USMNT - LA Rams - LA Kings - NUFC

Denver is a 28-point favorite over the Jaguars next Sunday. They scored as many points yesterday as the Jags have all season (51), and through 5 weeks they've outscored all 3 Florida teams combined by about 20

What quarter will Manning be pulled to rest him? 2nd? 3rd? Or will it be when he gets 8 TD passes?

Game will inexplicably be a 24-17 crapfest, though I'm hoping for a shutout to get the Jags back on track for fewest points ever.

If that's not sarcasm, then you must not watch a lot of football.

If the Jags win would it be one of the biggest upsets in sports history?

Perhaps it'd be the biggest upset in NFL regular season history, but don't 28+ point underdogs win routinely in college football?

Mike Smith is a terrible coach, get the friggen points at the end of the half and to run the same dumb run into the middle f the pile without a good running back. total joke.

Stanford won in 2007 at USC as 40 point dogs.

How much of an underdog was Appalachian State against Michigan in 2007?

Vegas typically doesn't put lines out for those games, but the unofficial line appeared to have been around 32 points.

Someone complied a list of recent college football upsets against the thread: http://www.cbssports.com/collegefootball/eye-on-college-football/19868984/who-had-next-the-10-biggest-college-football-upsets-since-appalachian-state
