BBTV
Why do so many teams wear their gray pants by default in spring training, on non-game days? The gray pants are heavier, and are basically batting donuts for legs in the hot Florida sun. This helps the players perform better when they switch to white pants.- San José Sharks PR departmentI think I am starting to understand why the Red Wings don't arch their names-on-back during preseason. The arching provides and aerodynamic feature when bent forward. They must feel like their skates have rockets on 'em after using the straight-names.Actually, now that you mention it, that's probably why the use a serifed font as well, just to put even more material there. If they were smart, instead of just red (or white), they'd put an extra layer of twill on there just to add even more weight. If they matched it to the base color, it wouldn't even be visible to the average viewer.Advantage - Detroit.Might as well attach dumbbells to the jerseysWhat- you mean like drop shadows? They'll all look like roided-out freaks if they ever put drop-shadows on their training camp uniforms. hawk36
A's finally acknowledged and announced the new road capA's Ticket Services @ticketservices 1hNew top item on the list of things-we-need-immediately: the new A's Road Cap! http://atmlb.com/NHfM17 pic.twitter.com/TiYRiF4xKp Compared to the outgoing cap that's a piece of crap. Easily the worst of the 3 road caps the A's have worn in the last 20 years. Very disappointed they'd make such an obvious downgrade. At least the caps finally match the jersey though. It always bothered me that the coloring on the script on the green jersey didn't match that of the cap. The coloring on the old away cap and the old green jersey were both gold. They matched just fine. But the lettering on the jersey had a white outline the the cap A's had no outline. That is what bothered me. Make them consistent. That's not nitpicky at all.Exactly. Designers understand how big that difference is and non-designers will inherently get that it simply looks better due to its consistency. FiddySicks
I just picked up the D Backs Sydney Series cap.The patch is on the opposite side of the cap, which is weird. It's also not the felt patch and it's not the new rubberized patch, either. Feels a bit tacked on, but it's still nice. I have a feeling these are gonna be pretty tough to come by. BBTV
The patch would be on the left in Australia, UK, and Japan. Most everywhere else is on the right. Buster
Instead of an ugly patch, I would have just flipped the teams' logos upside-down for the Australia series.I bet they'd sell like crazy...look how the "urban" customers go crazy over baseball caps in the wrong colors....upside-down logos would sell. jp1409
Anyone knows when Boston will unveil their new grey uniforms? I noticed that they still wear their grey pants minus the red piping and we haven't heard anything yet from them on that matter. They must have a hard time selling the remaining stock of the previous ones at full price...

That's pretty lame waiting this long to unveil it if you ask me. FiddySicks
Looks like the D Backs are going with their white caps with purple bills for the throwback game this year. Interesting choice, to say the least. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) phutmasterflex
I wouldn't say so. Wearing their uniform from their inaugural season is a good idea Go A's!
WSU151
I wouldn't say so. Wearing their uniform from their inaugural season is a good ideaThe D-backs wore purple hats in their inaugural game. The white hat was an alternate, used rarely in '98. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.
FiddySicks
I would've preferred they go with the black caps with teal bills they wore on the road in 98.
