I miss Gary Thorne. While he's still not as good as Emrick, I feel like NBC could benefit if Thorne was their #2 PBP guy. Nothing Emrick has done will compare to Thorne's call of Sakic handing the Cup to Bourque.

Shutting up and letting the moment speak for itself? That was beautiful. Emrick would need to come up with a verb that nobody has ever used to describe a hockey game before.

Hard to believe: a time before Bettman was booed mercilessly during every Cup ceremony.

2012? Because I don't remember Bettman relentlessly getting booed in LA.

If you don't like Doc Emrick because he substitutes situational awareness for just yelling all the time, how can you endorse Gary Thorne?

I can only endorse Rick Jeanneret; everyone else is a distant second. It's a shame that he'll retire without ever calling a Cup winner for his team after almost 45 years.

Loss is a loss, move on and prepare for game seven. Thinking about it, while it's disheartening to have a call go against your team, that's all it was, a call. Was it crucial? Yes. Did it lose the game for the Sharks? Absolutely not. Why?

Well, watching the game, the Sharks played better than the previous two games, but still gave up way too many odd man rushes, and Stalock kept his team in the game as much as he could, the Kings just eventually capitalized on a :censored: storm that was the Sharks after the Justin Williams goal. It was really only a matter of time to be honest.

Before the series started I think lots of people expected this could go to a Game 7, and it has. The surprising part is how the teams have arrived at the Game 7.

What was telling was the Sharks were down three goals with around five minutes or so to go, and what did they do? Got into fight and scraps with the Kings. What have the should have done? Oh I don't know, how about use that offensive firepower to try and ignite a comeback. It just looked like the Sharks took the rest of the night off hopefully to regroup and conserve energy for tomorrow's Game 7.

I'm pretty I've said this numerous times, but maybe some of the Sharks players are viewing this board (hey, you never know...) So I will say this: In order to move eliminated a label that has haunted you for years, must accept that label and wear it, and then go out and play a full game at full effort, regardless of how long it goes. Play smart, play fast, play hard, play with heart.

There is Strength in/through Adversity, the Kings have shown that, it's now time for the Sharks to prove to the naysayers that they don't want the chokers label, and what a better way to start that, than a Game 7 victory in front the home crowd against a in-state rival.

GO Sharks!!

Three Game 7's tomorrow and I don't have class on Thursday? Tomorrow night... oh yes.

A Paul Bearer Ohhhhh Yesss gif would work better round these parts.

Admittedly, I had to look that name up. I'm not a fan of wrestling so please excuse the fact that I've never heard of Paul Bearer before. I am, however, a huge fan of The Office and find myself being able to relate to Stanley on most accounts :P

So it's all the way to Game 7, and I just can't get into this Flyers/Rangers series. Aren't they supposed to be rivals? Isn't this Game 7? Didn't they play last night? No fire. Hopefully Philly shows something in this third period with their lives on the line. Because this is a regular season game with a louder crowd.

Anyway, Mason has been outstanding. Rangers all over them in period 2. Can't blame him on either goal. Without him, the Flyers are truly toast. They can't generate a damn thing on offense, and when they do, they miss or put it into Lundqvist's chest.

To be honest, this entire series has been kind of a bore. The only things keeping my interest are my years of rooting for the Rangers and my hatred of the Flyers. The games have been wholly unremarkable.
