They used to have my favorite identity in the NBA when I was a kid. The trees surrounding the court and on their uniforms, I loved it. Their uniforms were beautiful in the KG era. And the team was actually pretty good! Even their original identity when they joined the league was great. But since then... oh man, it's all been just atrocious. It irks me and breaks the middle schooler in me's heart. Minnesota, you keep searching for something great when you already had it all along: Look at this wood! Look at the trees! It's glorious. tigerslionspistonshabs
They did have a nice court. I liked them as well too. They were sort of my 'team B' to the Pistons for a few reasons- the name, identity, and they were always the underdog to the Lakers and Spurs. I liked their original set (I've got a blue Garnett jersey), the 2nd set was good (I wasn't crazy about the script, but at least it was unique), but everything since has just been generic and bland. BrianLion
outside of the horrendous white on white wordmark and number font I liked that set too. Although there's always a special place in my heart for the Pooh Richardson/Chistian Laettner era. (which BTW featured a much brighter green)
WSU151
White on white wordmark and number font? The Wolves had no such thing in KG's day. Smart is believing half of what you hear. Genius is knowing which half.

OnWis97
I like the current blue and green best. But is there a current green? I think any of those blues would look good with the current green. Anyhow, if they bring back a decent color balance of blue and green with no black...maybe, if they must, silver, they'll be in decent shape. I'm glad to see it's not going to be Seahawks green. Disclaimer: If this comment is about an NBA uniform from 2017-2018 or later, do not constitute a lack of acknowledgement of the corporate logo to mean anything other than "the corporate logo is terrible and makes the uniform significantly worse." buzzcut
I live here in the Twin Cities, and I hate this already. Pre-calling a FAIL for this overhaul. The CCSLC's resident Geelong Cats fan. Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends. Sounds like something from a Rocky & Bullwinkle story arc.
JerseyJosh
If the tree patterns are coming back -- that's awesome. However, I'm not a huge fan of them being the Seahawks of the NBA. I would've liked the new blue with old green but I'm just nitpicking... Will hold out my real judgements until I see the full identity. Looking forward to seeing the logo soonish. gosioux76
I adore the expansion Wolves' color palette. ( I adore those original uniforms, too, but I attribute that entirely to nostalgia.) I'm open-minded about this redesign, though I'm a bit disappointed that the Wolves are going with such a dark shade of blue. Those colors original Wolves (along with the original Mavs) seemed to me the right amount of balance between shades of blue and green. I hate that they appear to be chasing a trend. VDizzle12
Part of me has a bad feeling they will cover the whole jersey in that sublimated tree pattern, like the Hawks did.

Honestly, I wouldn't hate that. As long as they don't do neon numbers like the Hawks did with Volt. I WOULD hate that (unless it somehow looks good, of course). I couldn't agree any more. God, The T Wolves looked so damn good back then. Everything since has been a HUGE downgrade (Ok, so their original set with the current template was GREAT, but they ditched the green trees on the collar and side stripes, which were fantastic). The upcoming changes look to be pretty awful, too. I know this logo is kinda cheesy, but that's part of what's so great about it! It looks wonky as all hell on a cap, but it still just works. It's probably gonna get roundel'd to all hell like the Raptors logo did and we'll end up with some crappy vague and oversimplified reference to their name like this. If that's anyone here's concept, I'm sorry, and I don't mean to take shots. I'm just saying. It's corporate looking and lifeless. Twinberwolvikings
FWIW, this is a totally unsubstantiated rumor from a guy on a Timberwolves message board who claims to have a connection at New Era: Quote logo will be a merging of the previous wolf from the present…old wolf will be the dominant inspiration for the new logo but it’s too vintage looking, current wolf is nice in tone but way way too busy. look for a modern yet simple merger of those looks. Fox Moto logo, closer to that…think Milwaukee’s new look, thats the trend but more aggressive. Team hired HSWLD as a consultant on this, not running point though.
