Pretty sure this will be what we usually see. The first logo posted is like if this was the normal NFL logo:

Oh, dear.

I was fully expecting an update of the 1969 logo that was used for the league's 50th anniversary:

Image result for nfl 50 1969

So, something like this:

Those don't work as well in an emogi and small screen world.  This works a bit better.

could be a lot better. I like what they were trying to do. If they are going to put this on a jersey, then I would have a problem with it. If they are going to use it as part of the score bug or NFL copyright outro, then its whatever

also goes to show that the NFL loves their balls in the air.

I am very surprised they went with a logo decked out in gloss; it almost feels as if the designer is stuck in 2008.

As for the logo itself, it's not bad, but it's not what I expected (nor wanted) to see for the league's centennial anniversary. I'm glad they didn't go the ultra simple route like they did in 1969 for the golden anniversary, but they could have gone with something similar to the 75th anniversary which is, IMO, one of the best anniversary logos of all time:

It’s a nice enough graphic, but the extra “patriotism” feels forced, as if it’s a plea to recover lost viewers.

Really makes you appreciate the NHL's 100th Anniversary logo

Pump the brakes there, tiger.

The NFL and NHL both cranked out all-timers for their 75th, and clunkers for their 100th. Excited to see what MLB has for their 150th.

I've seen a lot of mentions that the NFL's 75th was a great logo... and I just don't see it.  It's a congested mess.

The 100 is just uninspired.

I can’t unsee “100°”. That’s bugging the crap out of me.

It works or me except I wish they thickened the white outline around the NFL shield to match the outline width around the 100.

I just noticed the bottom red streak is different (continuous) on the 3D rendering than the flat rendering where it breaks between numbers, which bugs my OCD-ness.

you might remember the topic of the NFL’s 100th season being brought up before. you might remember a comment about the direction of that campaign being about the future of the NFL and looking forward to the next 100 years. of course, that was hard to believe because how does that make sense? you get one shot to celebrate 100 years of history they would never take a direction like that, right? well, what does this logo tell you?
