The thing is that there's a lot of great looks in baseball. It's really hard to be top 5 in a sport with so many classic / traditional looks that seem to automatically jump to the top of the list. I don't necessarily catapult those to the top, but it's difficult to argue against their presence. Consequently, there's a lot of perfectly fine - if not really good - uniforms that are in the 6-15 range. It's important to remember that in baseball, that's still pretty good! I preferred the Lofton-era (early years of the current design) set (more red heavy), but taking the controversy surrounding Wahoo out of the picture, it's certainly in that category of good-to-really-good, but not top 5 and not in that elite tier. This sweatshirt, for example, is team colors and perfectly easy to read: There's no reason to think the jersey would be any more difficult. Block munbers are different from script though and that script needs an outline on a dark background.

The last thing the Indians need to do is remove the white outline from the jersey scripts. On 11/19/2012 at 7:23 PM, oldschoolvikings said: She’s still half convinced “Chris Creamer” is a porn site.) crashcarson15
For whatever it’s worth, the Indians gave this hat away at a game last season: Even though I prefer the block “C” itself without an outline, I could probably get behind this treatment of the block C to help match all elements. I think it works better than the ’80s “C” in a similar style did: The more and more I think about it, though, I expect whatever they’re unveiling tomorrow to either be the above hat or a version of it without the block C outlined. MattMill
Always been fond of the cursive I. Did they say why they dropped that? Unpopular? Maybe the block C came in and took it's place? I know it's on one of their jerseys, so it can't be that unpopular. Hat Club did a two tone custom awhile back. That specific color was never worn on field but it falls in line with their dark Navy identity. The solid darker Navy 'I' on field had a one or two year year run. It also featured silver outline. Then they went lighter Navy with silver outlines and by the time poly hit in 2007, we saw lighter Navy with white highlights. So that custom above would take things to levels never seen on field before.

EvilChameleon
I've never heard the Greek C be described as "primitive" before. That's a new one to me. I thought it was universally loved. I've always seen it as a "primitive" script meant to call back to stereotypes about Native Americans. Which means it's not going to fly these days. jrodsep
A simple white outline on the "C" of the cap would have worked wonders. Other than that I love this side-grade.
BBTV
Not bad at all. I’d like to see it with the colors reversed on the crest, but it works well with the cap this way. I dont love the solid red C on the navy, but the Red Bill helps it a lot.
